I'm new to Morning Glories and hoping someone can help me with this question. Can they be grown as a ground cover (sort of like an ornamental sweet potato vine, to which I think they are related) or only as a climbing vine? I'm in zone 8b if that matters. Any advice would be apprecieated. Thanks!

...most vining MG's will sprawl if there's nothing to climb onto...most of the taller upright species like Ipomoea carnea

remain in an upright bush/tree form and won't naturally sprawl...
Hope that helps...

Thanks Ron!
