How much fertilizer for Jiffy7 seedlings?

Hi. Just wondering what fertilizer(s), and how often, work the best for starting plants in Jiffy 7 peat plugs. I know several people use a prefertilized starting mix, but I'm curious about plain peat plugs.

Ifwbrdgwm, I use 1/4 strenth liquid fertilizer on my seedlings. I don't fetilize until they germinate and have their secondary leaves. Jim

Fish Emulsion fertilizer is safe.

As Jim says, wait until the seedlings have their second set of leaves.

Use 1/4 strenth Fish Emulsion every two weeks.

Thanks hostjim and taramark. I'll just have to guess when my leeks and onions get to the "second leaf" stage.
