(Zone 6a)

Hi, Does anybody know what these are? They are thought to be a cross, of a Japanese type.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I'm just getting into different types of MG's this year. Before I've only really grown an unknown I. purpurea which is....well, once you have it, you'll always have it.

Your Welcome :) I haven't grown the first ones yet, I just sent for them today as an exchange for some other seeds I ordered. I don't have alot of room for them, but I'll make room :)

Your Morning Glory is a Platycodon Japanese morning glory that can be a Single or Double Bloom.
Your photo looks like you have Purple Blooms and your blooms also appear to have an unusual variation with a nice Darker Purple that fades toward the Narrow White Margin. Very Pretty.

Thanks again Emma!
I borrowed that pic from the site where I got them and have yet to grow them. I'm new to all the different types of MG's :)
I had no idea there was so many untill I discovered them here at DG.

You are very welcome.
May I ask which site you purchases these Platycodon seeds.
I like them.

Here it is, http://www.gardenstore-n-more.com/morningglory.html
It's great place to order from, she has an ad in the DG classifieds for 25% off.
I going to order some of the other ones soon.
