March Bingo

Red Oak, NC(Zone 7b)

It' time for everyone to see our "menu" for March Bingo. There will be 43 different varieties on our list. I compiled a list of AVs and Streptocarpus for you to choose from. Pick the 15 you think are the "yummiest" and send your card to cedarnest, my cardholder for this game. You have until Sunday, March 4th at midnight(eastern standard time) to get your card in! The game begins on Monday, March 5th. Good luck everyone!

GAME PLAY AND RULES
I am going to put a little twist on this Bingo Game. Each variety will be numbered but these numbers will not be known to the players. I will pick different people each day to call out a number. Once I have the numbers, I will match it to the correct variety and let you know what it is. This is how we will get our calls for the day.The first posting box will be for the numbered varieties that have been called. It will also help you to know which numbers have already been picked. I will call at least two calls per day. There will also be a time limit for the person called to pick their number. It will be 3 hours. (This is so the game will be a little quicker.) Cedarnest will send me the complete list of everyone playing so I can pick people each day. We will use your DG screenname to make it easier on everyone.(Less confusion!)

FOR EXAMPLE:

VARIETY / THEIR SECRET NUMBER

Blueberry Topping (3)
Lemon Cookie (1)
Peach Sundae (5)
Rob's Berry Shake (4)
Silverglade Apples (2)

Bigred and starfly are picked to call a number. Bigred picks 1 and starfly picks 5. I will then let you know that the calls are Lemon Cookie and Peach Sundae. I hope this helps you to understand a little better.

I do have pictures for the list but if you have pictures or descriptions of your own, you are more than welcome to post them. It makes the game alot more exciting to learn something along the way! All of my pictures are from the AVSA and a web site called streptocarpus-info.com. They are not my own, I would take one of each though!

Can I participate if I don't know a lick about AV's? lol.....I keep seeing these bingo threads at the bottom of the homepage and i was intrigued. So I came over to browse and see what the fun was all about and made the mistake of looking at photo's! Looks like I'll be on the look out for some AV's this weekend.....lol. So can an unknowing newbie join up or should I have a lesson and wait for next months? Thanks! fran

This looks like such fun. I may have to join in too. So I pick 15 names from the list of AVs listed? I will need to get Begoniacrazii to help me pick. I am partial to PINK and esp ones with PINK in the leaves. LOL Though I dread getting started on these. I have just bought a terrarium to put some AVs in the other day so I guess there is no turning back now.
