I will be planting three cherry trees this year, two are Pie Cherries, Prunus cerasus cultivars and the third is a Sweet Cherry, Prunus avium, named Kristin. Kristin is not self fruitful and I'm wondering if I could plant a Prunus avium seedling as it's pollinator. I'm in a warming zone 4 possibly zone 5 so the selection needs to be on the hardy side.
Thank you
Kristin Cherry pollinator needed
Here's a great table for cherry pollination. You'll have to separately research the hardiness, although somewhere else on this website you may find that info too, it's a great resource for fruiting trees.
