I love lillies but have not done a good job of keeping track of their names, so I'm not sure what this is. (I know - shame on me. I promise to do better in the future!) The color of this one seems tie-dyed or streaked. It's 3 years old and has been like this every year. Does it have a disease or is it just strange? If it has a disease I should remove it from my garden before it spreads. Any help is appreciated.
Unfortunately it has a disease, color breaking virus. It can spread to other lilies via sucking insects such as aphids so you should remove and destroy the bulbs:( Sorry...
Thank you very much for letting me know. I guess I'm pretty lucky that it hasn't spread already. I will remove it as soon as the ground thaws.
