When : February 20
On this winter day, people go out at noon, wave their hands over their heads and chant "Hoodie-Hoo".
It is a day to chase away winter and bring in spring. After all, everyone in the northern hemisphere are sick and tired of winter at this point and a little crazy being cooped up inside all winter and not seeing the sun.
LETS ALL YELL~~~~~~~~
Hoodie-Hoo day again
Dori? Will it help if I start doing that today? I am soooo sick of cold, sleet, snow, freezing rain and wind here! And I know we aren't having anything like you all are.
"Hoodie-Hoo". LOL!!!!
Martha, you have urgent mail. I am going to find you and Happy in cyber space if it kills me. We are starting the game tonight, it lasts 24 hours. Dawn
HOOOOOOOOODIEEEE
HOOOO!
Thank goodness i feel well enough to do this-it may be a weak yell but I wil do my best!!!
temps in the 30's here finally!!!
Hoodie-Hoo !!!! Our whole office will take a quick break and yell out in the parking lot at noon :) Come on Spring !!!
Dea
I'll be hollering too, but this year the kids will be in school. :-(

I'm gonna join in too...but have to get a few kids here to help me out..Come on Spring!!!:o)))
This is Shoe,
How Do You DO!?
To usher in Springtime,
Hollering, "Hooodie-hooo!"
I yelled hooodie-hooo at nooon and my next door neighbor thinks I'm a looony loo
< ( *.*) >
Almost noon here and I'm heading out the door!!!
Woooohoooo.......Hoooodie-Hoo
i hollard as loud as i could and sure hope Spring heard me-thanks to all my friends who joined in!!!
it does break up winter blues now dont it!!!
I have the most respect and admiration for you gals in zone 6....I thought I was beginning to lose it in zone 9.....From Janurary the first week until a couple of days ago, we had no sun at all, lots of rain and freezing.......now i can actually work in the garden.....YOu won't ever be my friends again if I tell you that we are supposed to hit close to 80 today....when only last week it was 28 one night.....
There needs to be some screaming down here in the south for ya'll....you deserve it!!!!
On my way to the garden I will be screaming all the way, "Hooooooodie Hoo!!!!!!
i will yell it out but i cannot complain about this winter at all. we have had only one storm and that wasn't bad at all. the temps did get low but the lowest was 6 degrees. today it was close to forty five and the next few days will be in the low 40's.
I thought my weatherman was just trying to be funny when he said that the other morning.
Jason
Off topic but reminded me of a game my dad used to insist we play as kids when we were bored. It was called "Toodle Loo!" We took empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls and yelled 'Toodle Loo!' into them. This was his idea of funny. The tradition is being carried on.
ALMOST TIME AGAIN-BUMP!
Hooray !!
knolan----all empty tubes must be tooted into !!
its right up there with knocking on wood, for necessity, altho I don'tt know that its to prevent bad luck : *)
Ya ready Dori ? :)
HOOOOOOOOOODIE

Countdown is one hour, 1 minute to "Blast Out"!
