Turning Winter Blahs into Ahs
I use plastic pots too and then just sit the plant with the plastic pot down into a more decorative container....sometimes a pretty flower pot, sometimes a vase, sometimes a candle holder! So Gail, if they are big enough, you could sit your little AV's in the plastic pot down inside them.
wow....what is that shimmery look???
Looks like Glitter, doesn't it? Soooo pretty!
Does Barbsviolets have a website? I must google and see!

Ok, well this photo isn't of AV's or other plants, but the topic was turning Winter Blah's into Aah's wasn't it? So, I thought I would throw in a photo of where we love to hang out in our boat during the summer! This is a photo of Ponce De Leon Lighthouse, and we take lunch and anchor our boat at an Island right across from the Lighthouse. The Island is known as "Disappearing Island" because at high tide, most of it is under water. During the summer on weekends there are hundreds of boats with families, children, dogs .... all anchor their boats, set up canopies, lawn chairs, grills and spend the day! We never go out on weekends much anymore ... too much boat traffic and people!
I love your pics, Lin!!! Last night may have been 28 but spring is just around the corner for us.....
Lin,Your pics took me from Blah to Ahhh at warp speed.Oh how inviting that looks when it is freezing here. Thanks for the pic me up : )
