Itchy - and Jealous

Sorry Pod, you misunderstood my intent -- I was making a funny!

Sometimes comments can easily be misunderstood (mine included) when typed rather than spoken. Missing a smile or inflection... My apologies also...

My zone envy would be year around sweltering (I'd like to get sick of it) heat... probably wouldn't like the bugs and reptiles it would attract!

Thanks Gymgirl for your prayers. We got our house cleaned up, finished a remodeling job, had the funeral and the "after-party", fed everybody and even survived the whole thing. And now we are tired. I think we're taking most of the day off.

Dmj I'm not sure about those datura seedling from Frostweed. They don't look so good. I think they may be casualties. Most everything else looks decent considering the time of year. DH planted broccoli seeds last week and they are up, but just barely. My hycinths in the rose bed look great but they're so short you have to get close to them to see them.

Mary Lee, I am glad the funeral and all the turmoil are over, please get some rest if you can.

As for the Datura seedlings, if they are still in the cups and have been in freezing weather they may not have survived because of not enough soil insulation in the small cup. Otherwise they would be dormant at this time,
so wait till the R.U. before you give up on them.
Josephine.

I transplanted them to bigger pots and put them in the greenhouse, but they haven't been watered. They are in a out-of the way spot and were missed. I'll definitely keep them in the greenhouse. They are up high, so I need to get them down and see what they are doing.
