I found them both on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Barnes and Noble was a little cheaper, had free shipping over $25 (and I wanted Patty Griffin's new CD too) and was shipped faster. I'm so excited. This has been a long time coming.
Just Ordered My New Sunset
Make sure you let us know what you think of it! I'm debating whether to get it or not, it depends on how much new stuff is in there vs the version I have.
What I'm hoping for is more photos! That's not all, of course, but my old additions always disappointed on that level. I think about what they could do with this book now with the www available for even more information. They just emailed me that it ships on Tuesday! Wish it were here now while it's raining like the dickens. I have so many seeds that are late getting in and I wanted to plant before this rain but it didn't happen. I did scatter hundreds of wild flower seeds out in the meadow though. I know they're a tad late but that's fine. We'll see what comes up.
Hey, Stella. Thanks. I don't want the Sunset, but I'm always up for a new Patty Griffin CD. I'll have to go on an exploration later.
Zuzu, they play tunes from the new CD "Children Running Through" on WUMB a lot and it sounds great. Just google WUMB and you can stream their station on line. Mostly folk. Patty's the best. Did you know she's moved to Austin?
That's great news, Stella. I remember how much trouble I had finding "Flaming Red" when it was only available in Canada.
I had gotten a 50 dollar gift card at Borders for Christmas and still hadn't used it. I get my books at the library and was wondering what I wanted to buy. Then as I was picking up a couple of bargain gardening books I thought,'I'll get the new Sunset!'. My copy is pretty old and beat up.They hadn't got the 2007 version in yet so I reserved one and it came to almost the penny what was left on my gift card! Can't wait to get it!
Saw the new Sunset at Cost Co last night.
Think it was around 21.99
( ? )
New photographs of some great looking landscapes in the front section and photos in the specialty situation section.
The same nicely illustrated hand drawings in the encyclopedia section.
Looks like they added some additional specialty planting sections such as how to achieve the tropical look and rock garden planting.
nicely done once again.
I noticed the sign on the display at Costco said "Edited." I wonder if it's a different edition?
