Ok...I'm just bumping this up again to see if there is any more interest in a nursery tour. If not then perhaps just a couple of us will spend a day together, but let's see if there are others who want to join in on the fun.

A 'Hello to Spring' nursery tour?
March 11 is best for me.That gives me time to get things planted during the next week when I have a few days off.As far as where to go, I'm open... Austin( where I used to live) or Houston.or something else withinn a 2 hr drive of us would be great.....nancy

I'm going to bump this up one more time. To be honest....things here just keep getting busier and busier for me. I feel like I am running out of time to get what I want to done before the end of the semester and moving my family. Not to mention my research is not going the greatest right now. Perhaps we could hold this off until later when there is more interest? If not, then have fun and I will hopefully catch the next one.

Yes, I'm thinking you're going to have too much on your mind to enjoy the trip. I think you need to concentrate on moving your parents and doing your job. The RU might be more work than you realize too. You need to reserve some time to stop and smell the flowers.:)
Thanks Mary Lee.....it is true. As a grad student there really isn't much time to do a bunch of gardening, and certainly it never seems like enough time to do what I want to. But, on the other hand, I would go insane without it. It is my de-stresser. Spring break is next week, and although I will still be working, I am taking time to put in my veggies and a new flower bed. I also have a bunch of houseplants that could use some repotting and sprucing up. Mom and dad were down this week looking at places, they have found a couple they like north of here. They will be back down after Easter to make some decisions and purchases, I think dad may be staying with me a little while so he would be a big help in getting some things done here. Jasper has dug some trenches in the backyard that really need filling. What was funny to me is that my family asks me now and then about dating and finding a boyfriend (it has been a long time), but honestly I don't think I'd have the time and energy right now. Though I suppose I should think about it since I am turning 30 this year.... Anyway...... every now and then I start thinking about everything I want and need to get done, and then I start stressing and panicking that I will never get it all done. I need to relax some. How about a vacation to an island so I can lay on a beach and have a drink with a little umbrella in it? Lol..... Someday I guess....

Yes I can understand why you're stressed. You not only have a lot on your plate, you have too many plates! I hope your Dad is there for spring break. Maybe he can give you one.
As far as finding a boyfriend, I don't think most people find boyfriends/girlfriends. If you go looking for it, you won't see it. You find it only when you're NOT looking. And btw you don't look 30. Twenty-five maybe, but that's a stretch. Keep smiling and somebody will find you.:)
