He's wonderful, doing great in super puppy class, we are very proud parents! I will try to remember to download the latest pics off the camera tomorrow and post a few. He is almost 21 pounds now!

Doooogggggssss - just love em.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I can so hardly wait to meet him. Hugs and kisses to them both from Auntie Katie59!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Auntie ?????????

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Well, I'm insinuating myself into the lives of Rachie's furkids . . . maybe it's too soon to call myself auntie to them, but maybe not . . . :-)

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I think that would be up to Rach

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Ohhhh. Sorry, Mary. Did you think I meant your grandson? Well, I'd like to meet him someday, too.

No, I was asking about Rachie's Scrappy Doo and saying that I'm looking forward to meeting him when I go over there to pick up some plants next week. Now does that make more sense?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I know what you met.

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

Kathy he would love to have you as an Auntie! He will shower you with puppy kisses! I spent the afternoon working in the yard and Scrappy "helped" ahem, trying to eat the tines on the rake, chewing up pots as I planted, etc. He had a lovely time!

Vashon, WA(Zone 8b)

Peace everybody.

I wish my doggie would voluntarily go near a bath. He hates being combed, bathed or cleaned in any way, and he is a furry nightmare, especially when shedding.

Took a look at the high country and great plant picks web sites, and found all kinds of gorgeous plants I would love to have. This is the danger of trolling these sites....I make looong lists of plants and I certainly don't have room for even a small percentage of them at the moment. But its fun to dream!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Nothing like puppy energy and "help"!!! They are so optimistic about trying everything . . . I LOVE that.

Thanks, Maury. Glad you liked High Country Gardens. It can be expensive, but they have some really lovely stuff - if only to dream over.

Ahhh, that's where googling for seeds comes in!! And friends in gardening places, too!

Oh MHF, I'm so pleased to hear of another dog who hates to be combed/brushed/neatened! Our terrier mutters complains and risks life and limb to escape be tidied up. He just about deals with a bath in the summer, if it is outdoors and I am fast. But sheesh! He is a right little dog about anything to do with combing! I now resort to handing him over to a professional - let him hate them! That's why I pay them - and they do get his whiskers just right. Why do fox terrier love to look p'xxed off! They really do.

Oh Rachel, Butter bit the big metal steel rake when my husband was raking for a new grass area and broke off her tooth. It was bleeding and I took her to the vet and they said it needed to be pulled 600 bucks. I took her to my normal vet which farther away but I like and he said to wait. I was a permantent tooth. we got gators ear once with a weedeater. These dogs are tough and love to attack thing. I know you have had one before so you know thier nuts. Today we are laying water pipes out at the nut=rsery and my husband has dug trenches with the excavator out there and they all thought lets play tag in the ditches and jump over them running as fast as we can . Butter has already dislocated her should we don't need any more accidents. I think I am raising 5 boys. Always into something

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

OH Heidi, did this happen after we left? We had such a good time, I hope it wasn't because of us, But you had the dogs penned. I hope and pray, he will be okay, all my love to Butler.
Mom loves you to death, She had so much fun and wants to go back with me in April, And so Did my DH, He thought you where awesome.
And Thank You
Tills

Heidi- yes they can be very crazy! Fortunately so far Scrappy has been very "soft mouthed" with what he bites/chews. Carl and I just got home from dinner and grocery shopping, we walked in the door and thier was a plastic lid in between the dog beds. Cinder, Scrappy and Cleo all had that "look" on thier faces. A little further investigation found a Pringles can empty in front of the couch with chew marks all around the top of it! Guess the saying goes for the four leggeds as well "once you pop you can't stop!" The can had been about 1/2 full when I put it in the pantry last night after making Carl's lunch. They didn't leave a crumb!

Tills glad you had a nice day.

Whats really bad is coming home from work, and finding a prescription bottle on the floor half chewed with no cap, Panic ville, then DH comes home and says it was a empty bottle. Tyler chews everything.

I really enjoyed my day and so did mom, Heidi Thank You

Happy Valentines Day to all

I haven't taken my doggie pal to the professional groomers yet, because I'm sure it would be absolute torture for him. But as you say, Laurie, perhaps I should let him hate them instead of me. I used to be able to do more combing, and in the last year he has been extremely resistant, having figured out that all he has to do is keep walking away and I can't make much headway. We got this fellow form a neighbor who couldn't take care of him anymore. I had never had a dog before, but this one stole my heart. He showed up on my doorstep one new year's eve frightened of fireworks, then kept coming over to visit (when I was out in the yard gardening) from his home across the street. When they moved away, we became his real home officially.

Once when Franny was young we had her groomed and had her shaved. Not completely, but just close cut. Ever seen an Assie's face when her hair has been cut? It's the same as a cat's 'ears flat' expression. she never forgave us, and I know she has not forgotten.

tills, what did you get??? Is that on another thread? I get them confused.

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Tils, lets have the list!! And some photos if available.

I'm so glad DH liked Heidi, I was pretty certain she was going to be his kinda gal - she sounds terrific. I mean, how can you not take to a woman in a yellow so'wester!?

The worst bit about combing terrier out - he actually likes the feeling after all the snarles and bits are out - but doing it! I think he just loves being a pithea.

How is Butter doing with his tooth?

Was playing on plant files, I posted on

You are right to many to keep track of.

Butters tooth is fine. The vet said someday it will rot and they can pull it then. I watch it . She has awful plaque. Her and her brother were born with icky plaque. I pick it off and she is pretty good. Her brother oscar is better. Her teeth are alos pretty worn because her favorite toy is her basketball which she has to stuff in everyones face.

Tilly brought me these cool cow horn dog toys with a tennis ball in the middle and Boo has made them his toys and prances all over the ouse showing off his new toys. I will post a pic. Soon. Boo could be scrappys relative they are both red heelers.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Waiting for the pic. So happy they like them or I should say, Boo did
