While I'm at it...I thought I'd start photographing the seeds I have for reference, if indeed I got what I paid for!

This is Ipomoea muelleri

Beth - The first one listed as Ipomoea muelleri...I am tending to strongly doubt it...there should be some visible fuzz on the seeds...the visual impression I get is something other than Ipomoea muelleri...but...maybe>(!)...

All the others look correct for the species described...there are 2 Ipomoea leptophylla seeds that may have weevils in them...the upper left one and the extreme left seeds in the photo...the backs look like there may be circumscribed areas that correspond to weevils escape holes not yet fully complete...

I'll keep the seeds in plastic bags and see if any weevils pop out.

Beth - in the 1st seed photo that you posted here
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/baolvera_1170872239_520.jpg

is the partial covering composed of 'dirt'(?) or does it look to be the remnants of a fuzzy coating on the seeds(?)...can you repost those with another species seed in a side-by-side to get provide a perspective on the size of the seeds by comparison...a nil.a purpurea or an alba...

Thanks...

I think it would be nice to have a seed ID chart in the plant files. That way when people go buy rare seeds they will be able to research it to know for sure if they got the real deal. If they get the wrong seeds then they can return for exchange or refund before they go to the trouble of growing them.
