Jill, I thought you would be the one to ID him, but it seems it is already a known AV ... LOL it is such a nice plant too. Debbie, good job!

Got a late start this morning, wow, what a lousy night's sleep, I had. Hope everyone is having a great day.....

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

I have none so far. Boohoo.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

oh, that would be me, if I were playing..LOL send my fingers some esp....so the next one I pull will be one of yours...LOL

Livermore, KY(Zone 6a)

I sure hope so..........

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

I am going out to run errand, so have fun trying to figure this one out and I will be back later..."chow" lol

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

not one for me

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

;( oooohhh, I hate it when that happens!

Crossville, TN(Zone 6b)

Same here, not one!!
Are we suppose to guess the names before they are posted?
Linda

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Yes, if you would like to try and guess, that is part of the fun, of course I will tell you the names after a while of seeing if anyone knows the pictures...lol....just a little added "drama" to the game...I am off to the store now...later!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I am unable to find any of these in a file or one of the av sites. Do they have other names attached to them also?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL.... I know I saw a photo that looked that that one last night when I was searching for the purple one's name... and now I can't find it again!

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

Yeah, me too. And now I'm off to the doctor. So far I have three on my card!!

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Jill's Big Blue Noid is Gorgeous! Adding that to my wish list for sure! : ) Hey I actually had that one on my card too! Oh so many pretty ones.I Love the pictures!! : )
Nancy

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

The last picture was
Fickle Flirt...

North Augusta, ON

Yayyy....I got one

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

You know, I wondered about that one... one of the photos of 'Fickle Flirt' in FC was just fantasy markings, and the alternate photo showed a pink stripe.. I guess yours bloomed with a blue stripe! It's fun to see how blooms can vary within a variety. :-)

North Augusta, ON

Critter,
you make a good point there, it makes me wonder about actually buying named varieties, cause if I fall in love with a particular bloom, there is no guarantee I will actually get that bloom!!!

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

i dont think that is it lol
i dont know if i can guess or not,so i wont lol

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

janets
dmailed you

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'll bet the blooms with fantasy markings are just more prone to variations than some of the others...

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Yes, Moretz, the fifth called was Fickle Flirt....I am not going by the numbers as they were listed, if that is confusing anyone I am sorry...I am just calling the names, and letting you know how many calls have been made, hope that makes sense....Jill, post the pictures you found too if you would...I love to see the difference in some of them with the same name...I bought several new ones today, and two of them have the same name, one is a solid purple/blue flower and the other is a white with the purple edging....but same name...same company too...I thought that was strange! I bought eleven new ones today, at our new Walmart..they are all named too...I will post on another thread when I have time, and take pictures....

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Hmmm, maybe buying "named" AVs at WalMart is about the same as buying named Amaryllises there....

Anyway, here's the first photo of 'Fickle Flirt' from the First Class database:

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

ooo, very pretty, I like that...maybe that is why she is called fickled..can't decide what color to put out...LOL

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

even those two look different to me..

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I think buying named anything at the box stores is taking a chance because not everyone puts the tags back into the plant they took it out of when they wanted to look at the tag.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

o.k. i have 2 of them. southern sugar and fickle flirt. yahoo! when's the next photo? somebody is ahead of me though. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!! now remember to send the hints. i wanna play tonight so look out.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Is anybody up tonight? LOL....The AVs I got at Walmart are all in pots with the names on the pots, not tags....so that was my confusion about the ones named the same..I am going to look them up and let you know what I find out...lol will try to take some photos tomorrow..

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

Yes we're here lurking in the background.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I've gotten mismarked amaryllis bulbs with name stickers on the bulb, mismarked lilies in sealed bags, etc... I think quality control is sometimes just a little lax with suppliers to the big box stores... then again, if it looks like it's blooming true then you've probably got the right name for it, and if it doesn't bloom true, hey, you've still got a pretty plant!

North Augusta, ON

lurking...waiting...fingers crossed

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

She's going to make us wait until after midnight for the next call, I betcha!

;-)
