February blooms

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Mark. My pachyclada is in a south-facing window - but I may be watering it a bit too much. Thanks for the help!

Prescott, AZ

Hmmm, I have the watering down, but mine is in a west window, sounds like it needs more sun to get a bloom.

Thanks Mark.

Well, finally...on almost the last day of Feb. I have some buds forming and 2 actual blooms (on my sunrise). It has been a bloomless winter for me, but things are picking up now. Also see buds on lacunosa and I even have a big bud on my little 'Christine' . I have resumed fertilizing them (trying the MSU one) and am starting to get new growth and buds. Looks like I will have calycina blooms for the first time soon too. Yea!

Well Marcy, I will join you on this last day of February! My shepherdii is blooming again after a 2 year dry spell of no new growth and no blooms. It has FEET of new growth, 2 new peduncles and buds on the old and the new peduncles! I TOTALY give credit to the beer fertilizer. This plant has done nothing for 2 years and now it this! Yea beer fertilizer!

I also have buds on my calycina but it has blasted the last 2 times so I AM holding my breath .....:~)

God bless, -joanne
