oh what luck Gras. Awesome pic
chickadee
This is the first year I've used a suet feeder here. If today is any indication, that is what it takes to attract Boreal Chickadees. At least while feeding on the suet, they stay in one location, for a few seconds, to focus the camera. However, they do not hold still. Look at his tail in this pic. But, I still prefer a natural background.
I guess that's what all the Chickadees have in common. They won't stay still!! I've never seen a Chickadee that wasn't just black n white til today. Now I've seen 2! Thanks so much for posting them.

I wonder if they make suet blocks with prozac?
LOL, that would help!
Lily - that's funny!!!
Great photos today - does the Boreal Chickadee have an almost red tone to it? The photo looks like it does, but they can be deceiving.
Murmur: No, I wouldn't describe the color as a red tone. I think its just the poor early morning light, I shot these pic's in. The sun doesn't get above the mountains until about 10 AM now. The clouds were still pink from sun rise, when these pic's were shot. (Soon we will be gaining 6 minutes of light a day, or an hour ever ten days.)
