do you believe in angels??

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

"I believe in Angels, something good in every thing I see...." Do you believe?
Has there ever been a time when a person unbeknownst to you or someone that you know, been directed away from an event, or has offered unexpected blessings.....and then seems, for all purposes to vanish....mmmmm? I do, How about you.

"eyes"

Nothing like that has happened to me but yes, I do believe in Angels. I feel that everyone has an Angel watching over us.Have had other unexplained experiences tho.

Cordova, MD

OOh eyes... yes, yes, yes!
God said He has angels encamped around those who believe!
And, yes, I know of specific incidences in my life where, afterwards, that's they only thing it could have been!
Although, in all cases, I never thought it at the time!
Only after they had already gone! The stories are long and too lengthy to mention!

Collinsville is a one horse town in N.E. Texas. Pop 1050. Half of that are children and teens. Another 1/4 Senior citizens, the remaining are the rest of
our Adult population. This is important
to the story I am to relate.

Two years ago, the 2nd week of December, a house fire broke out in
the wee hour of the morning around
3 a.m. The house was occuppied by
one of our teachers, and her two
children, all of whom were asleep at
the time. A man beat on the door
and windows of the house until he
could arouse them and lead them to
safety. He said he had noticed the
fire from the Hwy. After the fire
department had arrived and had
cleared the neighbors and occupants
away from the fire, everyone went
to look for the man to thank him. He
wasn't there. No one knew him, or
his truck, and there was no way that
he could have conceivably seen the
fire from the hwy. The house was
totally consumed by the fire, and yet
everyone made it out with no injuries.
Cold, wet, yes...but very much alive
thanks to an unknown Angel.

yes I do, MY DD was driving her 70 miles a hour down very
busy 5;00 traffic, all of a sudden her steering wheel fell of
in her lap,she had no steering in her car ,she screamed
as her car went up side of concrete divider on 2 wheels
just as the car started to go over on to on coming traffic
she felt something pick her car up and move it in a blink
to the right hand side of the medium and the car stopped.
she looked up to see who did this and all she saw ws a concrete pillor 2 ft. from the front of her car.She was very shook up for days, but her car did'nt have one scratch
as well as my DD.Now we knew that this kind of freak accident could and should have total dd car and killed her on inpact. The officer who came to the interstate that night said he had , over a hundred calls from people reporting a horrible wreck.but when he arrived he ask my DD how she got from the left hand lane to the right.all she could say was GOD moved it.But what really touched us was 2 weeks later we found out that our DD was carring a child she had tried
for 3 yrs, to have.So we knew that the angel that night had protected mother and the childshe did'nt evenknow she was carrying. We are looking forward to Christmas this year, for that is when our Christmas angel is due.

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it.'
-hebrews 13:2
"For He will command His angels conerning you to guard you in all your ways..."
Psalm 91:11
"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them."
Psalm 34:7

There was an occasion a couple of Februarys ago when I was driving on I95 outside of Richmond on my way to Washington, DC when suddenly this bright red car with Georgia tags began trying to hit my car- crash into me car- get me to wreck... it was horrible! I was on my car phone at the time with a friend and started screaming to her and hng up and tried to get the police.
He kept it up- even driving ahead of me- going suddenly into my land and braking- trying to get me to crash! He was really weird looking. Then... he even started throwing FRUIT at my car- especially my windshield and tried bashing into the driver side of my car!!!
I was so upset I couldn;t even tell the police where I was on I 95!!! I just prayed the whole timeecause I sensed it was something spiritual going on here (I was at the time involved full time in a ministry to troubled kids)
I dropped my car phone and when I reached down to pick it up again I noticed this big 18 wheeler pulling up next to me and got between me and this other car. He had obviously seen what was going on. He began telling me to "Stay on my side... no matter what! Don;t go ahead of me or behind me- stay on my side" So I did! i could see this other car on the other side of the truck sort of so i knew he was still there!
My car phone began ringing- I hadn't pick it up off the floor- so i bent down again trying to get it- taking my eyes off the road a second. It was the police calling ne back trying to get my location.
I looked up again and WOW! THE TRUCK WAS GONE!! COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED!!! SO WAS THE CAR!!! I LOOKED BEHIND ME AND AHEAD OF ME AND COULDN't SEE EITHER!! It was really weird!!
that evening when I got home I was explaining it to my friend- he was also my Sunday School teacher- and NOW MY HUSBAND (he,he) what happened.
He said, "Jeanne, how cold was it outside today?"
I said, "It was frezzing of course, it's February."
He said, "Where your car windows rolled up?"
"Of course," I answered- you can still see all the fruit splats of them!!!
He said, "Jeanne. Think a minute. If the truck driver pulled up up on your left side- that means he was really away from you since he sits on his left side also. Was his wpassanger window opened?"
"No, it wasn;t," I said.
"Jeanne,.... then how could you have heard him so clearly tell you those things if it wasn't an angel??" he asked.
i thought a moment and realized only then it had to have been. There was no way I could have heard him SO clearly as I did- and not in a yelling voice- with not only my window, but his rolled up as well. And there was no way I could have missed not only seeing him drive away but come up beside me if he wasn't an angel!!

Yes I do, we lost our 18 month old son to a accicdent in 1998.
In 2000 on October 13 our town was hit by a tornado. I was working at my shop when it hit. The bussiness next to mine was flat gone, nothing left, while mine was still there with major damage. I was safe because of the presence of my son,as he was looking over me that day. There are times I fill his presence while I am in the garden.
Thank God for angels!

Mike your story plucked at my heart strings. I lost a young husband and my father and it was a bad time on both counts. But to lose a child!! I am sure he is with you always.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

JJS, Mike, and Nana.....God was holding you all in the palm of his hands, sending his angels to protect you all from the forces of evil. For it takes tens of thousands of angels to see us through and to defeat Satan and his legions, which are everywhere also, and they want what is God's.

To paraprase the wonderful hymn....
"It is well with my soul!...
when peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll,
whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul!"

-Written by Horatio Spafford when he lost all his children and wife when they were traveling back to England by boat. Horatio was staying in the States to finish business. He wrote this song when, after hearing about the horrible loss during a storm, he traveled by boat also to return to England... he wrote this as he traveled over the spot on the water where his children and wife died.....

Mike and Louisa, my heart goes out to you both...
it's hard.. even harder to accept and have peace without having to know the "why".. we will often never know why...
and Mike, your child is so special... given only to you and your wife but for a passing moment.. but his memory and love will be with you for a lifetime... and he is safely in the arms of God who loves him more then we could ever imagina as humans... and he's watching over his Daddy and Mommy, too...protecting always....

Absolutely, positivily, without a doubt, I believe angels help all of us on a daily basis. Not all the "divine interventions" are hugh but if you really watch you will see them happen over and over again.

I definately believe in Angels.. if it weren't for Angels, and my belief's I would have never gotten through losing my sister, her 4 children, my oldest sisters daughter, and my sister's oldes son's fiancee and her 11 week old baby in a mobile home fire last year... and I believe that they are all with me all the time now, where ever I go, or whatever I am doing... :)

Oh Nina, how utterly devastating that must have been for you and your families! One can only imagiine the
heartbreak you felt. Yes, they are all
God's angels now, and he is encompassing you with his presence
His love, and their's. Bless you.

Eyes,

The one thing that has helped me is gardening.. I have a friend that told me her Mother always told her that you could bury alot of sorrow, grief and heartache digging in God's dirt, and I can say that she is right.. My sister Joanne loved Angels, collected them, had over 300 of them.. and she believed in them, so I know that Angels were with them.. now, in her memory, I collect Angels. I made a memorial garden for them.. and I am getting better, I feel mostly because of God's love, the Angels, and being able to be outside gardening, It has truely been my counselor...

take care all and God Bless

Yes Eyes I believe...... My dad was a wonderful gardener ... his yard was full of flowers and oh the veggies he grew.... ...I guess I got the love of gardening from him and when I am in the garden I feel him with me..... its like hes saying you know that won't do good there to much sun etc...... allot of the things I trade are things I started from that where his I feel I am sharing apart of my dad... very few people know that...My angle is my dad I know hes been there so many times to help me and protect my children. There have been many things that have happened in the last few years if just one small thing didn't stop us me or one of my family would have been involved in very bad accidents we should have been there but a last minute phone call a stop at the bank etc made us late getting there...So you tell me ... that was an angel at work .

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Those wonderful angels have diverted us from a multitude of near catastrohes! My latest save was the day after our 6" rain, y'all remember me posting about that. I was planting some vine seeds under a couple of old trees by the back fence...all of a sudden I was overcome by heat and the sweat was pouring into my eyes. I went into the kitchen to wash off my face before I continued on. The phone rang, it was DH checking in. When I went back outside, I couldn't believe my eyes. One of the main branches of that old tree had broken off and had fell right on my garden stool.....coincidence?? I think not.

Yes, "eyes", I believe in angels. 2 years ago the 31st of this month, I was blessed with another granddaughter. She had to be born C section and had many health problems. She was flown the following morning by helicopter (and batised first) from Johnson City NY to Syracuse NY to a pediatric ICU unit. The poor little thing laid there stark naked in a heated bed with tubes coming & going out of her little body. I started calling her my "little angel" and spent as much time with her as I could. She was 20 days old before she was able to leave the hospital. To say the least she was spoiled because she had constant care. Everyone now calls her "Angel" and she still has lots of spunk that I believe helped her to get through her problems. The cord was wrapped around her leg, enlarged liver, and heart & lungs weren't working together properly. I put a picture of her that I took through the nursery window after she was born on my desk and talked to her at work.
I too feel the presence of loved ones near me at different times. Some people think I am crazy but I know everyone here knows different. Thanks for this thread.

WORRY ANGEL

I'm just a little worrier
I sit upon your sill
You don't have to worry now,
Because you know I will.
I'm just a frazzeled angel,
And what a job I've got..
Since I've been watching
Over You all my nerves
are Shot!!!!!

Lufkin, TX

I too believe in angels. My home is a great collection. My son was born 4 months early (me only being 25 weeks along) he weighed 1 lb and 8oz and lost weight down to 1 lb even. He had brain bleeds to stage 3 (where they are brain damaged); he had ROP which is where the retinas detach from the eye. At stage 3 they do surgery. (He never had surgery cause they got to a certain part of stage 3 and stopped and then began to regress!) He was on the ventilator off and on several times. He developed 2 huge hernias that could not be fixed till he was 51/2 lbs. Each day they would push this back in and you could tell that it hurt cause he would squirm and cry. He had tubes down him nose and throat. The first time they let me see him, all I saw from the wheel chair was a round bundle of covers, lines, tubes, machines, but not baby. They had to take him because of my blood pressure, so when I went to see him for the 1st week, my blood pressure would go up. I could not hold my baby till he was 3 weeks old. And even then, nurses were watching and hovering. Once while holding him against me, I was totally relaxed and tired and went to sleep, the next thing I knew they was his nurse taking him from me and shaking him! I thought WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU DON'T SHAKE A CHILD!! She told me that if she didn't he would die. He was too comfortable in my arms. We placed an angel over his bed to watch over him. IT STAYED THERE FOR 4 MONTHS! He came home the day before he was due. OCT 21, 1993 The doctors gave me 50/50 chance that my baby would be brain damaged because of the brain bleeds and all the oxygen he had to have. Today, my son is in the gifted and talented 2nd grade class. 2nd year for GT. His grades are never below 97 (and then, he thinks the world has come to an end) This past year, he took his first spelling test and when I picked him up, his hands were on his hips, and those lips were poking out and he didn't even say a word when he got in the car. I said, "What's wrong with you?" He wouldn't even tell me, he went to digging in his backpack and said, "I forgot it, let me go get it!" He came back and said, "HERE!! JUST LOOK AT THIS!" I said, "Baby, that's a good grade." He said, "No, I don't like it. I wanted 102. (which would happen with the bonus words she gave them, the word was echolocation! for 1st graders!! I never did convice him it was a good grade. He made better grades the rest of the year. God only knows how proud of my angel I am. If I could figure out how to scan a pic in I would.

As a elderly lady at church said, "My gaurdian angel wants a new job!" "I've worn her out!" "She's begging for a new job, Lord!"

Yes, I believe in angels...mine just happens to be living with me. You see, I can never any more kids and I only have the one. God knew I needed Luke and he has been my sunshine ever since he was born.

Cine, that was so moving....it made me cry with joy at the love and long suffering of our Creator and his host
of Angels. We are surrounded by them
all, and many never stop to notice....

are proud of him and for him, and I know he is of the Special Bond you

My hairs are standing up and I have goosebumps all over but after finding this post, I have to post my story because no one else believes me. I too have lost a child, a son at age 2 days old in 1991. The following year.......we lived in a very small, what I would call village, outside of town.........where everyone knew everything about you. To get to the main street you have to cross the train tracks and there are no rails or light to warn of oncoming trains. The trains do blow their incredibly loud horns though when they are not even in sight yet.........it was a warm day and I had my windows rolled down and my other son who at the time was almost 3 in the back in his carseat. I never heard, or saw a train but as soon as I crossed the tracks at no more than 5miles per hour on my speedometer I stopped the car and my heart raced so fast I had a hard time breathing. The train was more than half way past me at the time...............it was a very long train and it didn't go very fast..........at least 20 cars had already went by and there were probably at least 15 more to go. Somehow..........I can not till this day explain it, I must have driven right through this train. There is no other explanation for it. I never mentioned this to anyone for a very long time because I was afraid that they would all think I'm nuts...............until one day...........my son who was now 7 at the time, said...........Mom, remember when we drove through that train? I didn't know what to say. How would he remember? He was only 3!! I said "Yes, Kaine, I remember........Nicholas(my son who passed) must have been watching out for us"

flowox, thanks for bringing this thread back to the top with your posting. It seems very appropriate at this Christmas season. I had missed it the first time around. So glad you decided to share your story, I know it is true... Yes, I believe! John

Not only brings chills up my spine but tears to my eyes. What a wonderful story and YES, I DO believe. Our youngest DD was in a car accident and while in the er, she said she saw my guardian angel. I told her that wasn't my guardian angel, it was hers :-) Thank you for sharing such a beautiful story...vic

Wow! What a thrilling story! I'm glad you told us about it. People tend to think about angels more at Christmas than any other time, but they are here helping us all the time. I'm sure glad you are ok.
