Planting leftovers in containers

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Like some of you, I bought too many lilies. I'm planning another bed but the wife said we have too many projects going...

Bulbs are in the fridge now - Orientals, Asiatics, Orienpets and a Pink Camass. All high quality from Scheepers and buggy crazy.

Can I plant these in containers for now to get them through to fall for planting in a bed?
I assume a 12" deep container is the minimum and one per container.

I use a well draining potting mix, is there any reason to pull them out of the container before planting in the fall (I'm in zone 9, no freeze here)?

Will this work for the Pink Camass also?

Thanks

Keep it watered and you should be fine. They will bloom in your containers this summer. 12 inch depth container should work well. Good idea. Then you can take your time and decide where each one should go. You might even find a better way of how they might all look together, after seeing them in pots first.
