Worm Gold Plus

Has anyone tried this ammendment? I broke down and bought a 1cu.ft. bag today and am going to do some testing with it. It's a little pricey...$17.00 per 1 cu. ft. bag....so I only got one...

If anyone has used it, let us know what you think !

JD, I don't know about the Worm Gold +, but I've used worm castings for getting rid of the whiteflies during the big invasion of them several years ago with great success. For that purpose, use 1 inches deep as mulch.

I've heard it's great for erradicating the Giant White Flies.

JD, Are they a problem for you? I thought they'd disappeared everywhere since I've never seen them here again. They had covered my perennial M.G.'s and Rose of Sharon. they've not come back since using the worm castings....so, yes I think it's worth the price.

I wonder if this is the stuff I found at Armstrongs. I think I paid $17 but I do not think I got a whole cubic foot. What is the plus in yours?

Kell....I don't know what the "plus" refers to....that's the only one they had....and yes, I got it at Armstrongs...

Sherry....I too thought the Giant White flies had vanished...but they're back...my neighbors have a jungle of cannas that are INFESTED with them and they come over the fence and get on my begonias, Fatsias and even my fuchsias....

Kell...since you're also a Rose Queen, (!!!) (like Zuzu!!!) what do you know about Sheilas Perfume? I thought it was supposed to be a FB but it only blooms like a HT...what's up with that???

I like this soil but it is a bit strong...not smell but in nutrients. I find that mixing it w/ a bit of other soil to calm it down a bit has better results...But it's good stuff. I get mine at City Farmers.

Oh so sorry, I have never grown this one! Zuzu is the real rose queen, I am only a pretender to the throne.
