Poluck recipes!

As requested, here's a thread to share your recipes that we all want the recipes for!! This one is Arlenes' request....

Garden Herb Loaf

4-4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 packages Fleichsmanns RapidRise yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
3/4 dried rosemary leaves
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 egg
Additional marjoram, thyme and rosemary, optional

In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, salt, marjoram thyme and rosemary.
Heat milk, water and 1/4 cup butter until very warm (120-130 degrees F), stir into dry ingredients. Stir in egg and enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 4 to 6 minutes. Cover; let rise on floured surface 10 minutes.
Divide dough into 3 equal pieces. Roll each piece to 30 inch rope. Braid ropes; pinch ends to seal. Tie knot in center of braid; wrap ends around knot, in opposite directions and tuck under to make round loaf. Place on greased baking sheet. Cover; let rise in warm, draft free place until doubled in size, about 20 to 40 minutes.
Bake at 375 degree for 30 t0 35 minutes or until done, covering with foil during last 10 minutes to prevent excess browning. Melt remaining butter; brush over loaf. If desired, sprinkle with additional marjoram, thyme and rosemary. Remove from sheet; let cool on wire rack.

Here's my bean recipe. I don't have a proper name for them, but since it was my moms recipe, I just call them "Edee's Beans". My moms name was Edith.

Edee's Beans

2 Tab. oleo/butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup
2 - 16oz cans pork & beans
1 - 16oz can kidney or navy beans (drained)
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup cold water
2 Tab. prepared mustard
2 tea. vinegar

In large skillet, melt butter and brown hamburger. Stir in the rest of ingredients. Pour into 2 1/2 qt. casserole or bean pot. Bake in 400 deg. oven for 30 - 45 min. until hot and bubbly, or cook in Crock Pot (which is what I did).
Serves 8-10

Thin sliced Prime Rib

Crispy Sandwich Rolls
-slice in half
-put in a slice of baby swiss cheese

Shut back up and heat on cookie sheet in 350 degree oven until crispy-roll needs to be crisp so it doesn't fall apart when you dip it in the Au Jus.

Take out and layer in the Prime Rib

Serve with individual servings of Au Jus to dip in

(I used a mix from the store)

Optional: carmelized onions to pile on

Karen's Deviled Eggs with Jalapenos:

1 dozen extra large hard boiled eggs
2 T. (heaping) Miracle Whip
1 T. (heaping) spicy yellow prepared mustard (I use Guldens)
1 T. apple cider vinegar
3 T. sugar
4 lg. jalapeno peppers (seeded & diced) - I use the diced can jalapenos, and just add them "to taste"
1 t. salt
1 t. coarse ground pepper
paprika to taste

Cut peeled hard boiled eggs the long way. Remove yokes and mix well with other ingredients except paprika. Stuff mixture into halved whites and sprinkle with paprika.

Enjoy!
