Got Atkinson?????? Well..

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

ya don't I do. Oodles of this tomato seed thanks to a hunt all over the place that ened up finally not too far from home. I purchased the last sealed can of these tomato seeds from an obscure plumping supply company of all places.

This is the description Gary posted for it:

Atkinson Tomato
Description - Red, indeterminate, 75 days, vigorous, heavy foliage, firm, smooth light red flattened globes, 6-16 ounces, from Hastings Seed Company back in 1984, originally developed by Auburn University for southern climate.

I just popped the top on this can. These seeds were packed and sealed in 2000. They are not an easy tomato to find and don't know how many are still in circulation.

If your an heirloom tomato collector, or just a tomato nut, you might want to give these a try.

You can send an SASE or if ya don't have a bubble envelope just send some stamps. I can provide bubble envelopes til I run out. If you got something to trade , great, but not required. Can use any veggie or unusual seed, also looking for heirloom veggies or flowers, with the history behind them.

You can post here or send dmail.

Louisville, KY

Folks, Star could use all kinds of seed in her Project -- Dreaming Green.
So, If you have extra vegetable or unusual seed, send them along to her for
they will certainly be used in her projects with the young folks she will be mentoring!
Maybe it is "seed" box cleaning time!

I would love to try some heirloom tomato seeds if you have any left. I can send a SASBE and if you would like, I can throw in some cotton seeds.

Jerry

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Jerry.. Just send me your addy and will plop them in the mail to ya. No need to send postage or anything. I got plenty. Appreciate the offer for cotton, that very nice of you, but don't need any, plenty in the farmers fields down here.

Actually was funny cuz I orginally from outside a Cleveland and had never seen cotton before or a cotton field, let alone picked it. I got to go with an ag group and pick cotton from an experimental field. Had a blast. Was a great day and learning experience. Cours e it differnt just picking a small amount as compared to those folks that did it every day by hand for a living. That some back bending work for sure. Saved me a cotton ball with a coupel of seed in it for a souvenier. : )

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Dear Star....
I would dearly love to try these if you think they would do well in Zone 8 nearly Zone 9, according to a local horticulturist. He says being right off the ocean (less than 1 mile) our Zone is debateable. Regardless, I would love some seeds. I will send you several varieties of flower seeds for your green project as well as some empty seeds envelopes and postage. Thanks so very much for the offer. My DH is buying me s grow light shelving set. This will be the 2nd thing to go onto it...brug seeds already planted and just waiting for the shelving unit. PLMK
Thanks so much and God bless, Margo
