Which yellow MG might I have?

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

I've had a yellow MG growing in a container since spring of 2005. It has never flowered and the stem has become woody and almost 1/2" in diameter. Any idea as to what I'm growing? The label fell off the container many moons ago but I do remember that it was a yellow flowering type.

Thanks~

Hi Sandy - Do the leavers look like the large seeded Chinese Yellow Morning Glory as pictured on this thread here

Hi Sandy

The only yellow flowered MG's that I can think that it might be are some of the following....the perennial types may take several seasons to flower and definitely prefer warm weather zones...

Ipomoea ochracea perennial

Ipomoea obscura orange has been a perennial for some in warm zones or perhaps in greenhouses...

Merremia umbellata as grown by gardener2005...maybe she has an update on the plant leaves...

The Stictocardia have large heart shaped leaves but are usually more in the reddish-orange spectrum with yellow throats...

Do you remember where you purchased the seeds or what the seeds looked like> were the seeds large or small>smooth or fuzzy...do you have any photos of the cotyledons(?)...
If you have a photo of the current leaves I'll take a look at them to see if a visual helps in the ID any...
