Daa BEARS!
If coach Ditka was a tree?
How 'bout an understory shrub? Based on how they played in the last regular season game against the Pack I'd guess Oplopanax horridus. ;)
Quercus robur 'Fastigiata' it grows into a large imposing tree with a columnar habit, wide in the middle. The fastigiate oak was originally propagated from an upright tree that was found in central Europe. It has a stocky sturdy trunk, gets red in the fall. It a tree had politics an oak would be a conservative tree. It has his shape. It gets a late start in the spring, but it is one of the last trees to loose it's leaves in the winter. Patti
Easy--da coach would be Guaiacum officinale or G. sanctum, Lignum vitae---da hardest wood.
Duh??
Quercus ilicifolia
Ilex vomitoria.
Resin, I am just celebrating the Chicago Bears playoff win yesterday. There were old Saturday Night Live sketches called the supefans which exaggerated all of the stereotypes of the typical Chicago Bears' fan with a real exaggerated Chicago accent. This is a clip from one sketch. Not the funniest one, but you'll get the idea. Coach Ditka was the coach for the Bears when they won the '85 Superbowl and they worship him.

Congratulations Willis on two notable things. One, da Bears win yesterday, which takes them to the Championship Playoff. And, two, for being the person to finally push me into visiting youtube. Of course, I just linked in and bolted back out, but the introduction finally has been made. I've been told you can wind up spending an awful lot of your life at that website.

All as I can say is that as a SeaHawk fan it will be nice for some other team to make a fool out of themselves this year. Go Bears.
