I have a blog where I write down my time spent in the Navy and as time goes by I will probably go beyond that. I see it as a written record for when my grandkids grow up and beyond, that is more than just stories and pictures but will give a connection to my prodigy as to who they are and where they came from. As you already know I have one for Chase started that he can take over for himself when he is of age. But I am also starting to think that maybe I should do the same for the rest of the kids chronicling their lives in a way that other wise can't be done not even in a journal. The one that sticks out most in my mind is my eldest who passed away and is already being forgotten. With a blog his life will be the focus of who and what he was with no distractions by uncle Fred's photo, no disrespect to uncle Fred intended,on the same page or photos scattered here and there. In Chases case most of his photos were destroyed in a storm and now there are few left except those in our relatives possession. Once on the net and archived they can be retrieved at anytime anywhere as well as being down loaded into storage for protection. The same is true of the other kids. I prefer blog spot myself over my space, it is a much better operating system.
What do you think, is this to sentimental or just plain getting old and realizing it. Maybe to much time on my hands.

What do I think? I think your blog is touching, sweet, important (to Chase's memory, but also for you).
It's a beautiful tribute and will remain forever, a permanent memory. Very nice thing, you did.
Congratulations.
