Beautiful pictures. And I keep seeing a tropical pop up I would love to ID. I keep thinking it's an alocasia, but I'm not sure. My alocasia is much taller. Thanks for any help... included your photo circling the plant I was referring too.

Looks like alocasia gageana, never gets real tall usually no more than about 4 ft tall but gets many ripple edged leaves.I use this one a lot at work in beds and pots as some of the other alocasias get too tall to use.

mine don't look so good right now after several days with this record Calif. cold snap, largest leaves melted from frost but the stem looks firm and green, it's a toughie! I plan to spread it around to replace the non-toughies I'm loosing.
