I am not familiar with those but I think you might be right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nymphaea On this link, there is a link for Nuphar right above the picture. You picture looks darn close to that. And Nuphar lutea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuphar_lutea

Hi, everyone. We have just returned from an 8-day cruise. We are buth completely bushed. That picture that was published on Jan. 25 at 2:15 looks an awful lot like a water lily. I used to have some in my water garden in Montreal. However, the root never got to be as thick as my arm. I have never known water lily to hold their leaves upright above water. But then, as I often say, I may be wrong there.
Keep well, all.
Sylvain.
Welcome back Mr. Bear! I hope you had a wonderful trip!
Lovely! Close relative of big bird? :)
Maybe, sure didn't look like Big Bird, though.
Sylvain.
Better figure for sure! LOL
Hers, mine or Big Bird? LOL. Just to clarify things, I am on the left of the picture.
Sylvain.
Can you please put on the feathered ensemble so I can give an accurate and honest answer?
