This is Gus. He's is a 4 month old Westie that we just got yesterday. He's not house trained and there's another adult dog in the house so we're keeping him crated alot of the time when he's inside. We take him out pretty often but aren't letting him roam free yet.
He barks and yelps constantly when we put him in the crate. Last night he went right to sleep at bed time, but today when I've put him in there it starts and he doesn't stop til he wears himself out. At first I tried standing over him and firmly saying no. This would work for a moment but he's start again soon as I walk away. I've also tried ignoring him, hoping that if i don't reward his behavior with attention, that he will stop. Not workin'
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!
