Who is growing morning glories inside?Winter projects?MGArt?

I set up some 65 watt "grow lights" and close to some windows to try growing some morning glories inside. I`m interested in who all is doing this and what kind of little projects for winter we are up to. I`m curious and so far I have some seedlings started. I have some artistic paintings planned but life keeps making me busy and I get tired and want to sit on the couch and vegetate in front of the tv in the evening after dinner instead of paint pictures ;)

After taking care of the vines all summer. Now after watering, weeding and tending I want to paint them (rolling eyes) :0) !!! I need devine inspiration to paint the vines!!!

So are there any artists out there who enjoy painting their garden subjects? Also, who has some growing inside projects.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I like the pun (devine inspiration)!

I am growing 1 JMG indoors. The seedling is out of the ground about 2 inches now, and shows signs of variegation. I haven't a clue to the identity, it was one of the unknown bonus seeds that Komeri sent. The seed was gigondo.

I have some "surprises" of a variety provided I had plenty of seeds...I went outside and got some seed pods from a thicket which are cardinal climber, hederifolia, and cordatotriloba black and some brown seeds just for practice and freak out my husband when he sees the weed vines in there. :) The two 1949 Imperialis seeds are the only rare ones I have planted.

I am growing several species in the front (south facing) window supplemented by a 400W HPS and a 1000W MH light fixture. I will soon be moving them out to a greenhouse since they are taking over the living room. I am growing cameo elegance, lutea, picotee blue JMG, pink bindweed, heavenly blue (its taking over!), brazillian MG (seedlings doing great!), grandpa Otts, carnea, and gypsy bride.

I have been doing oil paintings most of my life, but would like to switch to watercolor to sketch and color some MG plates in the botanical tradition.

I have Fujishibori that just sprouted, and I plan on adding both Lavender and Pink Silk, as well as one other (I just can't remember which one it is...)

Very cool! It will be fun to see results. I`ll update later here or on whatever thread is going on if and when I get blooms.

I think I got lucky with the JMG seeds I germinated; 2 of 3 of them I accidently broke off the leading 3/8" tip of the radicle, but I guess the new plants were robust enough to overcome my clumsiness. Whew!
