Growing from seed

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Can anyone tell me of a good source for buying tree seed? I want to experiment a little and also have some nice trees from the project.

Greensboro, AL

Windy: I just made that trip? I was looking for the rosa glauca rubrifolia seeds, and some others.

I didn't find everything I was looking for. I suspect some of these tree people have some they might share. Ginkgo is available, but I did not find: ostrya virginiana. or Kentucky coffee tree.
I did find yellowwood, Umbrella magnolia, bigleaf magnolia.
Tree seeds: Anglegrove, J.L. Hudson, Seedman.

Whatcha lookin for?

Gloria,
I can provide enough KCT seed to make a gomphothere giddy.
D-mail me to make arrangements.

FW Schumacher & Sons, in Sandwich MA also carries a wide variety of tree & shrub seeds.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

And Schumacher is a lot cheaper, too. They still offer $3.00 trial packets, and they are pretty generous.

I thought this was a great photo of ostrya virginiana seed and seed pods on the tree--even though they didn't have any seeds left.

Thanks to you all and have a merry Christmas. I will be looking at those sites and visioning sugarplum trees. LOL
I have a couple of little trees now that popped up in my yard from tree seeds blowing into soil.
Now to do some last minute tree seed shopping.
