Next Sunset Western Garden Book arriving Feb 2007

Someone just posted a notice in the "other" gardening forum. You can pre-order from amazon.com, of course!

Thats great news. Its the 'bible' for gardening in California and the West.

This IS a great resource. The better nursery's always seem to have a well-used copy or two on hand. I have the older (1995) edition, so I'm looking forward to updating.

According to the Sunset web site, the book is due out on Febuary 1st, 2007 - in just a few days. Amazon has the cover posted where you can pre-order, but the 'look inside' link currently goes back to the older version. I assume they'll update that once the book is out. (No sneak peek.)

I was really hoping they would add a CD this time, but based on the description from Sunset (below), that's not gonna happen. It says...

I really wish they would add a CD to this book.
I have an old CD that was a god send when creating maintenance pamphets for my clients.
I now have a new computer and the old CD won't work with it.

The old Sunset CD was certainly limited, but it did have some nice features .
I think that they only produced the CD for one year. Sure wish they would update and do another one.
