What would you do?????

OK First things first, this thread aka venting is NOT about any of you. So here goes. I was a part of a Round Robin box on another message board.(sorry Dave) But I have also seen a few of DG member's over there too, so here is the question---Let's say you have been waiting for this RR to get to you and was sooo excited when you got it...then when you open it, you go into total SHOCK!!! Because the deeper you dig into the box the more JUNK you find. A- Do you go ahead and put something in the box and keep quiet about it? and mail it on to the next person? OR B- Do you seal the box back up without putting in anything?
I can't even begin to tell you how bad I felt when I got this "box of junk." I already had my items ready for the box and had even put back a little extra cash so I could get the box back out to the next person real quick like. I felt soo cheated, because after all I had to pay good money to send this JUNK on to the next person. so being that I am not a cold hearted person, I did add something to the box, but I refused to take anything out of it. So basicially what I am saying is, I myself know what true JUNK really is, and so does everyone else, So why do people who call themselves your friend think they can be soo greedy and take all the "good" stuff and leave all the Junk for me???( O and this was suppose to be a holiday box, not "my" Junk box(aka yard sale stuff) The thing is, I have signed up for MicheleN's c/mas box, so I hope it is a better box. I am sure it will be though.
Sorry for the venting ya'll but I figured since there is ALOT of RR's going on around here, I might as well tell the truth so that the next RR box you get, you'll think twice before taking out all the "good" stuff and leaving the junk to only hurt the next person.
Like I said this IS NOT DIRECTED TO ANYONE HERE!! Just mainly FYI.

We at Dave's wouldn't do anything like that. YOu should have mailed it back to the previous person postage due.

I thought the idea of RR was to put back equal or better value. I guess I just assumed that most people would do that. As to what I'd do?? Sure don't know, but I'm sorry you got stuck like that. :(

Well Molly I will have to jump in here with you.. every round robin I have ever done has been pretty much the same as you said..... I am in one now but don't know how it will turn out, I guess you pretty much know going in that your just in it for the fun..... I just think its fun to go thur all the seeds and try to figure out who put what in. lol I know I am nuts! Your not promised anything so it's pretty much you take or leave what you get. It's all for fun ..... Maybe the next one your in you will find somethings you like . I keep on doing it and I am sure you will to.....

Ga, I thought about doing just that, but it would be my luck that the same thing happened to the previous person.

I too have had this happen and chose to remove the worst in the box and replace with something really nice. I figured that way the next person would have a better feeling about it and the RR fun could continue. Sometimes, I just figure that the anticipation is the real fun and the box itself is just the glue that holds the anticipation together!

Zany, The thing about it is, the greedy people out weight the good hearted ones everytime. I think that instead of keeping your items hush hush, I think that it would be MUCH better to simply tell what you have taken out of the box so that way the greedy people would not be soo greedy as to take soo much. I know that everyone likes the anticipation of waiting for the box and all but wonder why they have to spoil it for the rest of us?? After all these people are "suppose" to be our friends...but they stab us in the back the first chance they get, and then they want to pretend as though nothing has happened!! as you can tell this has really gotton under my skin!!

I,personally, am not in any RRJB's other than my family's KID T/J BOX and a RRJB, but on original RRJB on DG that first started out, someone[no names] did inform me that she had NOT taken anything out B/C there was nothing in there worth taking.Still,guys ,remember this is a TRASH or TREASURE box!No one said it was pure treasure!And to remember that what is trash to some might be treasure to others! Plus one thing I would suggest is that there should be a rule ,if there are more than 2 or more good items in box, take ONE GOOD ITEM OUT ONLY, leave something for the rest.I am sure all of you are not greedy and would do for the other first.Yes, now you can tell me to butt out!
