Locationers

It's getting to this: we have lots of members and many of them live in the same geographic region.

Examine the MICHIGANDERS thread for evidence of the northerners congregating.

Is it time for some forums that are regional in focus? Regions like: Southern, Midwestern, New England, West Coast, etc. I don't really have an opinion here... Does anybody think this is a good idea?

this MICHIGANDERS thinks thats a good idea dave! Sari explaned the great lakes effect on our weather-a great help!
keep it up Dave!

Yes, please, Dave! Southern would also be nice - I forget sometimes to look at zones, and info is not correct for them. However,,,,,, on the other gw, folks very rarely used the regional forums, wonder why. It's such a logical thing to do.

Thanks,
Grits

I really like the idea, Dave. Recommendations for Zone 8 here in the deep South are much different than for Zone 8 in the Northwest.

Sounds like a great idea to me too, Dave! Go for it!!!

Grits - that's what I'm worried about. I don't want the forums cluttering up the homepage and forums area if they aren't used. I'm also worried about segregating our members from each other. I still want to be able to chat with all my non-Southern friends...

Ahh methinks I need to think about it some more.

Dave--I second what pete2 posted, but I also think that having too many forums will segregate members. Beside, wouldn't that cause a lag in load time?

Very good point, Tim.
