Sounds... er uh... intriguing

Patent-pending technology!

Introducing the one..
the only...
"HERD Electronic Deer Repellent"
with the ability to "Attract Them & Then Zap Them"!

http://www2.yardiac.com/long.asp?item_id=7076

So, how long before a member posts that they bought a 3-pack of these "economical and effective" muzzle zapping lures and claims the deer are browsing their beloved plants around the bases of their three stakes that were supposed to protect approximately 3600 sq feet of their property?

Anyone remember mikekilhoffer's 3500 toothpick cat deterrent?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Hey a toothpick mike reference

deer are fine here, Al out

Atmore, AL(Zone 8b)

If I rub my feet on the carpet and touch my dogs nose she'll stay away for about ten minutes. LOL

Hendersonville, NC(Zone 7a)

Is the cat deterrent what it sounds like? Scattering tons of toothpicks in hopes it will irritate the paws? Good luck with that one, and the new deer repellent as well: not bloody likely!

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Is it possible to buy claymore mines on the black market?

The best deer repellent is a fence but sometimes that doesnt work either. Had to chase this one out yesterday. Hey thats it trap them in my fenced in area and hit them with a cattle prod. Think twice about pushing open the gate.

Are you taking photos on your super spy camera again Steve?
I thought those fences were up to keep you in.

I'm thinking that someone left the gate open but does not want to"own up". ;>}

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I suspect you are right and I'm going out looking for the idiot. Oh I found me. LOL This is the 5th deer that has gotten in because the gate is open and they hide down below until we find the tracks.

(Zone 6b)

Is it just me, or can anyone else see anything of the photos besides the extreme upper left corner, and hence no detail, no deer, etc., just the copyright info.?

It's not just you.

Wow sofer! How nice of you to create such a protected environment for Bambi with such an extensive smorgasbord contained within for its dining pleasure.

Kill it! Kill it! Somebody kill it!

Mmmm, venison.

OK here is the blow by blow battle with the angel of death to my bushes and trees. This villianous creature (with horns) entered my innocent garden with a plan to whack my plants. I immediately without personal concern threw on my slippers and in pjs went out to do battle. After locating the demonic creature I employed the assistance of my plant wacker chasers. Kip and Maddie to flank the attacker. He immediatly plunged into the fence and stuck his antlers into it and we considered a rear flank approach. That was met with kicking and thrashing of his rear legs. This panic caused him to loose himself with the fence. We then changed our strategy to a retreat and his attack became more threatening. Finally my cavalry charged and sent him to another impact with the fence. Now we charged with venimous courage and drove the oppressor down the fence and into the front of the property. Clearly his retreat was in chaos. He hit the fence and my cavalry drove him to the gate opening and my DW (troops in reserve) chased him out of the fortified walls of our garden. The retreat was met with a boistrous chase forever implanting the fear of such wanton aggression ever to enter the demons mind again. Victory for the home troops. I could never have done it without the cavalry and troops in reserve.

Good for the you, the DW met the challenge to hearth and home with vigor and righteousness! Was it as loud and hilarious as it sounds now, in the telling?

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Heck no. I always fluff the edges a bit. But the step by step was accurate. Beep Beep. I think road runner would have been boring if the edges wern't fluffed also. Meep Meep.

Thornton, IL

Uh-oh. Acme Deer just delivered a really big box just inside your (open) gate!! Zooom.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I would never be so stupid as the Wiley one. I always shoot any acme box before I open it. I watched roadrunner for a lot of childhood years. No Acme for moi!
I drove home tonight so I have access to the pictures. Not bad an 8 hour commute to deal with the difficulties in life. Here is another garden visitor. What do you see?

Nice work. I don't know how the rat got there but I know that they have been there before.

Northeast Harbor, ME

I have to admit, I put peanut butter on my electric fence. One lick tells the little demons that this is not a friendly place. heh, heh, heh, heh.
