You're great with indoor MGs.

my little stringbean is still going but I did start another. the difference in the diameter of the stems is amazing. stringbean's stem looks almost like a human hair it's so skinny. the new one is standard size and doing well.

If your new one is normal size then maybe your lighting isn't the problem. Keep us posted on your progress. What variety is the new one you sprouted???

Beth, I'll have to check. I didn't put a plant marker on either one. Drat!

beth..why are you growing bindweed LOL i cant get rid of mine..no matter how hard i try

I know, I know...somebody was going to ask! Well, I have had white bindweed on my farm for the 15 years I have owned it, and I have a special appreciation for it. When I was in college and too busy to garden, it lifted my spirits to see those persistant blooms. It has never really got out of hand and dies back every winter. These new sprouts are supposed to be pink bindweed which I would like to have along with the white.

I should mention I have ten acres here, so there is certainly some space for my bindweed to grow in.

Here are two seedlings that germinated inside. I used lights that go to a fish aquarium and they seem to work. the seedlings are stout and short. One of them is a i.purpurea cross between Milky way and hot pink and the other is i.nil early call blue.

here is the early call blue.
