edric - Would you be interested to post any closeups of the large, but still not fully ripened seedpods(?)

When the sun comes up I will try and get a close up, but untill it stops producing blooms the outer jacket will not start unfolding to reveal the center where the pod will be exposed, it pushes the yellow portion out, and they drop to the ground, then it spends over two months developing the dried flower.

Hey edric - Yes,there are lots of nice photos of the fully mature and dried seedpods all over the web...What I would really like to see is what there are presently no photos of >closeups of the large UNRIPE(!) seedpods...

I'd be very glad if you would be the very first person on the entire World Wide Web to post closeups(!) of the Unripe seedpods with the still living sepals visible up close...maybe some sideshots and a top view > I'm sort of interested in certain taxanomic features as would be visible on these still living parts still encasing the developing cargo inside...Some nice closeups would be a great precident for the PlantFiles database...

Thanks(!)...

Ron

sorry I took this about 7.30 or so, they close back up, and fill with fluid, and swell up like this.

They spit the yellow flower out, and stay open about a eighth of an inch, and close up in a few hours, then fall off if it is real humid, cause of black fungus.

edric - Thanks for the photos...if it is ever possible,I have 3 more closeup photo requests and that is closeups of

1) a sideview of the open flowers showing the base

2) the flowerbud still twisted just before opening

3)what are the nice large almost ripe seedpods that look like hanging globular citrus fruit like in your 'zoomout' here
