Congrats Paul.

I'm afraid to start mine yet, too cold here as we've all been protecting everything we can from frost the last few nights.

I'm waiting until I hear that others in this area are beginning theirs, then I'll follow suit.

Wow,that is just a lovely seedling!!! what a beautiful green and nice leaves. You are so blessed!!! I`m lookig forward to looking on here as she grows. I`m saving mine until I have more experience growing indoors. I`m going to use some more prolific easy growers as my guinea pigs.

gardener and phicks

i'm determined not to 'waste' my seed so will use whatever method is said to be the best for this one.

should I use the seedling starter?
should I presoak the seed?
should I use the peroxide water mix?
basically, phix, what did you do and
what are you planning to do gardener?

Lakeland, FL(Zone 9b)

i just soaked mine in warm water for 24 hours then planted it in vermiculite

Looks great Paul. Think I will try just one of my seeds.

I only have one Gypsy Bride seed so that means I`m going to practice the inside plant growing first. I`ll probably plant my seed in a pot I could bring inside in case it needed more time. I`ll probably plant April 15th next spring when it is good and warm.

Frank, here is a picture of one of Joseph's flowers. There are others posted deep in some of last year's threads! Gypsy Bride is a nice double/feathered I. purpurea that is white with small bluish/purpulish spots in the middle of the "petals". - Arlan
