Just a REMINDER - if you have extra seeds to offer, I ask that you wait until every one has listed what they are sending to fulfill the wants list first ... Only after all those have been listed, then you can post the extra seeds you have to see if somebody wants any. :o) I also have some to post that others might want... I think that will help each of us to keep things straight. Me especially :o) Also be sure if any one wants your extra seeds to be sure to put their name and number on the seed packs so I can make sure they go to the right person:o)
Thanks, Connie

This message was edited Dec 3, 2006 12:27 AM
Here's what I have:

4. Zinnias - tall, large flowers, mixed

6. Blue Mistflower (the perennial kind)
7. Cleome
8. Hollyhocks (very tall, single, perennial, mixed dark pink, very light almost white pink and purple)
9. Liatris - white
10. Milkweed

12. Obedient plant Vivid
13. Clustered bellflower - dark purple
14. Stachys coccinea Lady in Red (I understand the seedlings will be slightly less bright red)
15. Aruncus - I found one little branch that looks like it has seeds on it. These are apparently very, very small. I'll send what I have.
16. Foxglove
17. Gaillardia - the plant has large, bright solid yellow blooms but of course this is a hybrid
18. I also have rudbeckia, blackeyed susan, goldstrum. The seeds will produce plants that are true
I'll have to check the ones below to see if there are any seed pods. I have these plants and some of you may want to arrange to get plants in the spring. (See above for notes on the seeds I found.)
Obedient plant Vivid
Aruncus - goatsbeard
Clustered bellflower - dark purple
Stachys coccinea
(Editing this to add in the calendula. I think I have enough for one share.)
(Editing to add in obedient plant, clustered bellflower, stachys coccinea, Thai basil, aruncus and foxglove.)
(editing again to remove the Thai basil since someone else has seeds and I didn't find many)
editing again to add in gaillardia

Please people, READ my posts...
Thanks Connie
Okay, I think you all are missing what I said to do,
From the first POST!!!Okay All, Here is the list of everybody's wants.
1. Please go thru each one carefully and make your list of the ones you have to send...
Question for each one of you. Are you planning on sending all those seeds you listed above???
(I know DonnaB is sending the ones she has listed)
If you are not planning on sending them, then you need to narrow your lists down...
I just want those that meet the wants listed now...
And please number them, Example:
1. African Daisy - Blue
2. Toad Lily - Yellow/Orange
If they do not match the wants list, DO NOT post them now!
Also if you put down Example: Echinacea please put down what kind, because there many many different kind.
Please just list the wants you have met, do not list who they are going to...
All extra seeds you have can be posted after all the wants fulfilled have been posted...
I will be the last one to post mine then you will know when to post your extras...
Thanks Connie

Okay, as everyone can tell I got a little flustered last night, Sorry You all are doing great, REALLY :o)... Got myself all under control now... Had a good nights sleep and slept like a rock rofl...
Keep them coming, I got a handle on it now lol...
Only 10 more beside me that needs to list, over half way done, Oh yeah Oh yeah Oh yeah :o) FEEL THE EXCITEMENT...
Connie
These are the rest of the people that need to get their lists to me...
Please get these to me as soon as possible - sooner if possible ;o) lol
Instead of posting them here D-mail them to me...
If you do not have any of the wants, Just post sending my 15 pks or how ever many you are sending.... Please don't leave us all guessing.
14. dhemmer – Diana
21. ZZTOPSOIL – Lelan
and ME :o)
I am running in to a little snag, The lists that are up already, I have no clue what most of these are... I am really new to gardening, So I am having trouble matching them up to what some are wanting.
Example:
Like the Echinacea - what kind are they or color?
Some have listed the real name for seeds, while others have listed their common names...
In order for me to match these up, I am going to have to google search most of these.
If someone would like to give me a hand with this, if you know some of the seed names or would like to google search some of them for me - PLEASE D-mail me...
Thanks, Connie

Connie, the names I used came right off the ones used on the lists. You had a lot of people ask for echinacea colors that are NOT available in seeds - Razzmatazz, orange. You don't need to worry about matching those because even if someone sends seeds from those plants, what they're going to get if the seeds sprout at all are common purple coneflowers. One person asked for White Swan. I have those on my list of availables and they are true. One other person has listed Magnus. Those are purple/pink and are also true.
Some of the lists above I think have a lot of seeds listed that weren't on anyone's want lists so it might make it easier for you if you ask them to just edit their lists.
I can match any of the Latin, cultivar & common names if you want to send me a list of those that are stumping you.
Thanks Hart, I was wondering about those :o) Glad to here the White Swan come true, I got some of those from another swap I was in or a trade, it's hard to remember...
okay Would some of you please edit your list for me :o)
Those that are for the wants just bold them in, it is easy to do
at the beginning you do this (with out spaces) < b> and at the end you do < / b>
that will help alot.
Thanks, Connie
Summerkid - its mostly all of them :o)
Thanks Connie
Summerkid, do you want any help - like you take the first half and I'll take the second?
edited to add: I have Hortus III, which has an appendix ordered by common names that match up to Latin names, if that's any help, too.

Sure thing, bluespiral! But which half is which?! You mean I'll do Nos. 1-12?
Connie
I went over my list. I am sorry I don't know how to do the bold print. All but three are for peoples wants and I think they were for someone that dropped out. They are:
#13 nepeta
#17 allium
#25 devils claw
Aline #19
All the chat/forums/threads, etc are new to me. If I did something that was impolite, please accept my appologies right now. I am really excited to participate and have my seeds ready to go out and I am more than ready to get my seeds although I have MONTHS before I can do any planting.
Linda
Thanks so much to Connie for hosting the exchange!!
Aline,
I had requested the devils claw and alliums plus some other things but I must have added them to my lists too late because they didn't end up on the lists in this thread.
I'd love to have what you have though if it's possible?
Joy
Thanks Aline that helps :o)
And you are very welcome basket_case, and as far as I know you don't owe anyone an appology... You know what, your screen name fits me perfect rofl....
Man I hate menopause :(
Summerkid & bluespiral, you just don't know what this means to me... Bless you both...
I heard from dhemmer and she is having electrical problems and is running a generator, so I would say it has to do with the weather being she's from Illinois, I hope so anyway...
I know it is just plum cold out side and if I am not mistaken they got hit with alot of snow...
Hubby has our generator primed and ready to go if need be.
Thank You all. :o)
Connie
Joy, I will be matching the seeds and will see who gets what, I am slowly going thru the want lists now... If they are on someone else's list they will go to them first - unless there is enough to split them up... Thats why the edits shouldn't have been done to the wants list after it was closed and posted here...
So hold off asking for this and that please til I get everyones wants met....
Then I will let you all know what is available....
Not trying to sound or be mean, just trying to be fair...
Connie

Summerkid, I was thinking I would take the first half that posted and you would take the second half that posted, unless you'd like to do it differently - my approach is arbitrary and also saves us from singling out the ones needing the most work - I want us all to still be friends by the time we finish this swap - LOL. I'll check back here every 15 minutes for your answer.
Summerkid, while I wait for your response, I'm going to dive in. I'll start with the first one to post - #12 dorothy and so forth toward the middle to mamajack. How 'bout you starting at the caboose with Basket Case (who looks okay) and just work backwards toward the middle ending with pamsue. There might be a few plants needing a tweak in your half. When we get to the middle, we'll each post and go from there.
Organizationally, there's usually a more efficient way to do things than what I come up with, so by all means let me know if you'd like to do this differently.
