The adoption process has begun

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Last night I was looking at the adoptable kitties list and photos from Oreo's animal rescue that's in the next town. DH and I fell in love with two of the photos, and today we found out that they are brothers and are in foster care at the same house.

I called the vet that treated Bummy, and he said that since we don't know for sure that Bummy did have FIP, and it could have been some other complication of the CRF, and that we have had the house thoroughly cleaned twice and with bleach where we could use bleach, it is okay to bring another cat into the house now that it's been almost a month.

I hope these links will work, as these are the two that we are looking at, possibly both.

Elmer is the one that Dave likes from the photos. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7308208

Freddie is the one that I like from the photos. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7308225

We originally thought we only wanted one cat, but since these guys are brothers and DH likes one and I like the other, we have decided that we may just get both of them.

I am going in to town this afternoon to meet them for the first time. The foster lady said I can bring them home for DH to meet also if I want, and see how it works out. I wish DH could go with me today, but he can't.

I also explained to the foster lady that I had to go to a business meeting next week, and she said it would be fine to bring them back while I was gone if I wanted to. Dave is pretty adamant that he can take care of them himself until I get back though. :)

So, I'm hoping that this works out for us and the kitties. I gotta find a new place for my Philodendrons and Schefflera since these guys are babies and might try to take a bite. I can't find where Hoya's are poisonous to cats. Does anyone know for sure?

I'm going in early to take our comforter in to the cleaners and buy a cheaper one to use in the meantime, and get some kitty things. We discarded all the stuff we had, so we will start fresh with everything.

I'll let you know how it goes this evening.

Hugs,

Joan
