KB and everyone :)) Please don't forget to visit our two stickies :)) First two threads into our forum !
Few other great links from our Sticky on starting leaves :))
I have helped several people who could never do this they said their leaves always rotted - One friend who was over a few weeks ago who is new owner of my Russian Snow Leopard :)) I gave her the method of straight across and she said for the first time in years her leaf has not rotted. I read this method in an older Av Journal from a Vendor that need to grow thousands of blooming plants for sale at a special Valentines show. He had a lot of inexperince workers , cutting the stem at too much or not right angles needless to say they lost a lot of money and did not have the blooming plants to sell :(( Then he started using this new method with always excellent success :)) Wish I still had this article but I always pass my books and such along to share with others.
Have fun and try different ways :))
I grew babies by placing a damp paper towel in a large zip-lock bag. I placed the leaf with half inch cut straight across stem into the bac and placed it on topof TV box where it was warm but got light. It was so much fun I kept it in there until I had loads of roots and baby leaves . It grew me a Wonderful Optimara Little Diamond which I shared many leaves from :)) Fun !

Now you're getting me REALLY excited to try this! I think I'll wait until after the holidays, though, when I'm itching to get out in the garden and my inside stuff keeps me sane until spring. LOL.
