Hi all,
I have my seeds together... so I am ready.... I have heard from Wheez once and I am waiting on her address.... Stupid me I thought we had to send 15 packs of seeds in each env. I just mailed Wheez to tell her half of my seeds were tossed in the garbage sometime ... Long story... LOL So I did not know if I had 15 packs to go into both ... So I am ready to go... LOL
Hugs,
Susan

Sorry all,
I finally got on my daughter's computer - ne has virus-locked completely out (someone put a little Trojan on it and it kept saying I needed to sign in with my passward---was something I never had set up). I should get my comouter back by tomorrow, I will send my package out on Moday 4th as well to beaker_ch. I have replied to her dmail as well to let her know. Thanks for all the fun!!!
Judy
Just a suggestion, but a truly accurate tracking of our seed migration could be achieved by getting confirmation numbers and keeping track of their locations online. I believe the confirmation is around 80 cents per package, but I may be wrong.
Here I think it is about 50 cents...that would most likely tell us where anything gets "bogged" down..LOL
I've used it before to track live plants I send, and it's really helpful when someone is out of town when the package arrives, etc.
I'd rather not use confirmation because the post office tends to take care of those first. This is a test of zip +4 just to see if it really does speed up delivery. If a letter or package has confirmation on it they get handled differently.

Okey Dokey.
That might be the next test though .. see if identical packages get delivered faster if they have delivery confirmation!

Did everyone whose partner didn't check in get an address out of the addy?

I have mine, I have the envelopes ready for the seed and postage, stuffing and stamping today...thanksX!
I have a silly question....??
Would we all have to mail out at the same time or just same day?
Does time of day affect mail?
Does mailbox vs post office make a difference?
just wondering.
Any time on Monday .. even Sunday if you can't get to a mailbox. Ideally I'd like to have them dropped into a mailbox rather than have them picked up by the postperson. But if you can't get to one that's ok.
X
Tomorrow is the great mail-off!!!! It's ok to post them today if tomorrow will be a problem. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome!!!

Mine are ready to go..this has been fun! Can't wait to see if the four make a difference...thanks X for organizing this.
It's 10 degrees out and mine are at the PO :-) The waiting begins lol

Mine are mailed!!
Mine are mailed too! Can't wait to see the results. I think this is a perfect time to put it to the test with all the Holiday mail.

Mailed!
Forgot to check in. I'll be mailing out to Susan today, as well. We don't have home mail delivery, so mine will go to the post office when my hubby heads to town this afternoon.
Mine have been picked up. Hope all the ice and snow don't affect the test.
Susan
=^..^=
Mine are mailed also....
Hugs,

Hubby just headed out the door. It's 10:50 AM here, and since he is taking them to the desk, they will be postmarked before noon.
Mine left this morning as well.
Mine are on the way as well.
I popped mine in the mail this afternoon!
Got mine in the mail by 11 am.

Mailed
Yep, mine went out in a mail box in town early this morning.
Carol
Mine went out this morning.
Mailed at the post office at 11 am this morning.
Mine were mailed yesterday. I am almost sure mine will be the last to arrive at their destination. Mail here is slower than pouring molasses on an ice burg at the north pole. lol
Linda
It's a done deal! Now for the waiting!!! Don't forget to make a note of when they arrrive.

mine where mailed yesterday wanted to let you know
I thought this interesting. There was a group of us on the Winter Sowing forum that did a seed swap. The coordinator mailed all the seeds on Saturday and I received my package today. A gal in Illinois received hers yesterday. They were mailed from North Augusta, SC just using the 5-zip. I can't remember ever getting mail so fast unless paying an arm and a leg. I wonder if the mail is speeded up due to the time of the year. I sent some seeds to NY last March and it took almost three weeks.
If everything gets delivered super fast this week, perhaps we should try this again in two or three months.
Well I just had a seed trade going and some got it quick and some it took two weeks.
I mailed mine on monday at 11:30am from the closest Post Office(not the town listed as my address though), Sorry I forgot to post on Monday . I have a bad case of systemic poison ivy and haven't felt well. I am very excited to see what happens.
Ouch, Chicory, I hope you feel better soon!
Beaker, I was in that swap too, and I happened to use the zip+4 on my envelope because this swap had me thinking of it. I got my winter sowing swap envelope here in Pennsylvania today, which is not as far as Minnesota, I don't think.
hhmmm...
