Favourite Aroid Resources

Key West, FL(Zone 11)

We all have our favourite aroid resource websites, so I thought that we could share them here just incase anybody is missing out on some.

I find the most informative is
http://aroid.org/
as its so huge feel free to post any particularly interesting pages you like within the site.

This page is about Pollination (which i'm trying at the moment)

I hate posting with no picture so add you favourite aroid picture with it's name if you like, and maybe where you got it.

This is Aglaonema Pictum 'Tricolor' from Brian at

I agree, aroid.org is great. A little intense sometimes but great.

I also love the color photo galleries at http://www.agristarts.com/ .

Some issue of Horticulture were great this year, as they featured EE in non-tropical gardens. That really inspired me to integrate my EE in my perennial beds.

Favorite EE this year (it changes every year):

OK three favorites...
A. gageana - the most robust EE I have. Like Macrorrhiza but shorter and much fuller.
C. Fontanesii - this was a spectacular giant (6' x 6'), the purple stems made it a stand out.
A. lutea - the chartreuse stems are incredible!!!!! (see image)

Thanks guys, I've been to some of those sites. My pocketbook is always lighter when I go to Briansbotanticals! Then he has the nerve to post specials on DG classified's... ;) I also have say Plant Delights has a nice amorphophallus selection... kinda pricey, but...... VERY unique.

I love the first pic! It looks like Camo! My hunting DH and DS would love it. Would you have any to trade next Spring?

Teresa
It's very slow growing so far. but it does have a bud right now, so if it seeds maybe i can grow some to share. But it loks like it'll be a while before there are enough pupps to divide.
