Cool, I was looking for a place to post Happy Birthday for ecrane3....Dave's Garden wouldn't be the same without you!!!!!

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Thanks you guys! I really appreciate the b-day wishes and your kind words!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Hope it was and still is a great one!

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

It was a good one--the weather was absolutely gorgeous, and I got a message that some plants I'd ordered from a mail order place shipped today. What more could I ask for!

Wishing you a long birthday celebration with all of the best - flowers, cake with favorite frosting, hugs, cards and favorite plants! We like our BDs to go on for days and days.

Cheers1

ecrane3,
Happy, happy!
bksmall, that's a good idea, we should all have "birthweeks". I like that so much that it has just become a *tradition* with me and mine!

Well, don't stop celebrating til midnight! Glad your plants came in for your special day. The weather was great, yeah, 97 here today, record since 1956!
Happy birthday to you!

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Wow! 97 would have been a bit too hot for me, thankfully it was just somewhere in the 70's or maybe low 80's here! I like the idea of celebrating birthdays for more than one day...should I go treat myself to a shopping spree at a different nursery each day? This could get expensive!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Yes, I say, "hit em all!" So what did you buy yourself??!!!??
Stay cool, looks like it's going to be another warm one here.

Burlingame, CA(Zone 9a)

Happy belated Birthday ecrane3. Thanks for all the great comments you post at Dave's. Here's to another great year.

Thanks again everyone! My big present for myself this year was a real greenhouse (as opposed to the greenhouse plastic stapled around my covered patio which I did last year!) It's still not put together yet but I'm hoping to get it done before it gets too cold at night! And of course I hit some nurseries last weekend and bought some more plants I don't need! The most exciting one was a cool Tibouchina that I've been drooling over for a while but hadn't seen it for sale anywhere recently.

Well, if I were closer to you, I'd come help you put it up as my gift to you! Good for you, treating yourself to a special gift!

Sorry it is late but Happy Birthday girl. Dawn

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Thanks Dawn! And thanks weegy for offering to help with the greenhouse if you lived closer! It doesn't seem too bad to put together so far, everything's really lightweight and all you need is a screwdriver and a wrench, it's just a lot of pieces so it's going to take some time to get it all done.

Well have fun doing it!

Ya too bad our state is so big. Back east you can travel 3 or 4 states and Canada in 4 hours.
