Now that Decumbent has Id-ed my mystery bush....(thank you!)

.....as a Viburnum dentatum...I'm off to look up some info on when/how to prune it.

I haven't liked it because it's about two times too big for it's spot, it completely blocks the view off the porch, which is one of the reasons we bought this house, it over looks a little pond and valley.

Any suggestions appreciated.

This http://takomagardener.typepad.com/tg/2006/04/doublefile_vibu.html is not limited to its title of double file Viburnum. (V. Dentatum is not a double file.) I don't know how reliable the author is. It sounds like whacking your Viburnum down would work.

The person who can authoritatively inform you is ViburnumValley. Can you change your thread title so "Viburnum" appears in it? He's been barking up the petticoats of the fair Parrotia recently, but "Viburnum" would lure him in here.

I don't know how to change the title.

I made a new thread with Viburnum dentatum in the title.

Thanks for the suggestion of how to get the expert! : )
