Help! Need suggestions for my water logged stall

Joshua, TX(Zone 8a)

We had 'monsoon' (I call it) rains last night. When I went to check on the horses, one of the stalls is water logged so bad I couldn't get in without sinking up to my pants leg (and that's without stepping all the way down). I had to bring the horse out of her stall to feed her and get her out of the water. We have had lots of rain before and not had this problem. I don't know if I should try to scoop out the standing water or just get hay or shaving and put in. That would be a bunch of bags of shavings!

Any helpful ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. ~~~ Carol
