Variegated EE

Athens, OH

OK I'm being greedy, I would also like another aura Variegata (if possible and after those who don't have one....). I would also love the odora variegata.

I am also looking for someone who has A. reversa and now I would love the Alocasia Guttata Imperialis.

Oh oh...this tread is getting me in trouble fast. :-)

Tami,

Your plant looks just like my Xanthosoma Sagittofolia Variegata.

Neil and Ric,

I know exactly what you mean, Neil, I like to have at least 3 of each plant myself. I broke my own rule and traded an Alocasia Chantrieri and I have since lost one or hopefully it went dormant, so now I only have one. I know the plant had two bulbs coming from the roots of the mother plant, so I can hope that they will sprout next season.

I just got home and it rained heavily here today, so it is totally dark outside. Needless to say, I can't look to see what I have. I may not be able to look until Saturday because of my work schedule for the rest of the week. But I will definitely get back to you.

Ric, Colocasia Yellow Splash and Milky Way are on my list of wants....if you have pups of either of those.

Rox, I will let you know if I have more than 2 good pups.

Wow-
I didn't know there was a variegated sag!

Ric- If you don't have enough Yellow Splash, I might have one to spare.

I just won this one on EBAY, paid more than i wanted but couldnt help myself. I dont have it yet but they're calling in
Alocasi gageana Yellow variegated. Couldnt find any references on,line so im thinking it may be a misnamed Odora variegata.

Whatever it is...I am in love!

Absolutely lovely....

I posted in another thread that my Gageana is showing signs of weird variegation but I fear what caused it! any input would be appreciated.

Anyone have A. zebrina reticulata?
Thanks to Neil, I looked at ebay and saw this beauty. Great...just great. Only 4.5 more months of winter to go!

Rox, Ric and Neil......

Neil....Well that worked out great that you were able to get the yellow variegated Odora...I agree with you that it was misnamed.

I have 2 pups that have a very good variegation to them for Rox and Ric if still interested. Let me know.

Rox,

I have A. Zebrina Reticulata. I have let it go dormant a few times over the past winters. This year, I dug it up, potted it and put it in the greenhouse we put up. I posted a picture of it in it's hayday, when I used to protect it from the winter months, before I had my 2 boys and I had more time in the garden, etc. Now that they are no longer babies, I can pay more attention to my plants again...and the boys like to help.

Reticulata is a very slow grower for me and very cold sensitive.

I found it on ebay last night too, there is a seller called aandbtropicals and they have it and other cool ones at reasonable rates.

That's a beauty, love the setting.

Athens, OH

Martina-
I would love one of the pups. What can I send you?

The Reticulata is definitely tempting but I wonder if I could get it to overwinter here in Ohio? IIs it susceptible to rot rot if it goes dormant? Also, I wonder how it would handle our summers. The nights in Ohio, even in the summer, can be in the low 60s.

Any insights would be appreciated....

Neil-
Are you thinking about getting one of the Zebrina from ebay? I am very tempted....but a little nervous.

I figured for $8 its worth a try.

Martina I am DEFINITELY interested!
I spent all day yesterday hauling in plants and didn't really even have time to look for pups.
I'll check tomorrow.

Thanks!

Rox,

I was looking for Colocasia Yellow Splash and Colocasia Milky Way. I'm not sure what else you may have.

I can send you my list of EE's if you want to cross reference any you may have available that I am missing still in my collection.

Thanks,
Martina
