I remember kudzu where I used to live. They said they used it to help erosion on the roadsides where the soil was nothing but clay. I heard about one fellow who went on vacation for a few months and when he came back he had to cut his way to the front door.

BTW, that vine reminds me of a wooly mammoth. We have a kind of orange trumpet vine that will do the same thing if allowed any time with no twice a year pruning.

It took alot of work, preventitive fuguscidal treatment, every other day, hand watered every day,
if it gets down to 29 degrees for any spell at all, everything above ground is dead tissue, that's what happend last year.

Holy Smokes!! The picture of the base is the actual size of the trunk of the H. Woodrose?? That's a tree...lol! I think you better watch out that it doesn't cover your house because I'm to far away to help you...lol! You must have tons of seeds.

I love those pics, what I wouldn't do for a tree like that in my yard here in the desert. I remember the oaks I had in FL and the spanish moss and how well everything grew. Pls keep posting pics. It warms my heart to see them.

Hey edric,

The plant looks great...

What do you traditionally do with the seeds that it produces(?)...just curious...
