LOL, I know it is a pretty scary thought, Hap. Our claim to fame here is we do not have the terrible humidity or the heat you guys do. I can't take the heat.
Mary, you do not have high humidity either do you? PINK brugs like the humidity for sure.
Today, we were about 40 miles north of us on the water and it was so hot, 80s for sure. We were at a birthday party for 4 and 5 year olds, I can't take so many kids either. LOL. I feel so old.
Here is one of the birthday boys. His Mom is a chef and she is so clever. The kids love sushi so she made sushi treats, her own idea. Gummy fish wrapped in rice krispy treats and apple gel wraps as the seaweed. They were a huge hit.
Brugs to bust in Buffalo
LOL Kell, I don't think my 9 and 11 year olds would go for that sushi, even if it is wrapped with gummi love. Pretty clever, no doubt I'd et it.. And you, naked? Lol, Such decisions.
Thanks Gordon, that is everybody is saying, when your near and dear ones are ok, then all the rest can be dealt with. I was very concerned about the elderly and the little ones.
CC, I'm sure glad it missed you too. But, as they say, "batten down the hatches." It's sure coming. You should have come, we could have played Yahtzee ( I still stink, according to my sons. Good for your ego, lol.) National Grid and NYSEG say that everybody should be back on line as of today. I hope that your friend is finally illuminated and warm. As of the news at 11, still 1,000 without power.
Hap, Langfield makes the news every once in awhile..lol,. I am only 15 minutes away...West Ferry Street, turns into East Ferrry and before you know it...Langfield. I bet you have some stories.
Hap and Kell have me thinking. Florida in the winter and California in the summer. And New York for a weekend bender, twice a year, lol.
Mary...you've sure painted a pretty picture too. A friend of mine is just outside San Francisco. She has never looked back on Buffalo. I bet I could adjust real quick.
Aw shucks, South America is starting to look good. Just need a few brochures, lol.
Kell, I am drooling over the picture you posted! Looks like a dream place!
Hope everything is just about back to normal in Buffalo! Your brugs are just beautiful! Shame about the trees, isn't nature amazing! Hope you winter isn't more of the same...but mild like they predict!
JanetS
Best thing I ever did was to move to California when I got out of college. New Jersey is not as cold as you Jackie, but it is still cold! LOL
This is the San Francisco area, here lots of the grammar schools serve sushi, all rolls I believe. My kid started eating it at 6 years old, he actually would eat uni. LOL. Most challenging, I wouldn't even it uni then.
Janet, that is the San Francisco Bay, taken looking out from the Ferry Building.
I have a DVD another DGER sent me of the Bay Area...it is just beautiful country! That is where I would be if my children would come too! I am too much of a family person to move without all of them! Can't leave those babies! LOL I do have a very good friend, that moved there right out of High School...wanted me to go with him...that would have been an adventure for sure! LOL But I stayed in Georgia...no regrets...our weather is pretty mild, but we do have the changes in seasons and I really look forward to them. This is my favorite time of year...I love Fall! Then Spring...Summer is too hot for me now, and Winter is too blah...and cold...lol
Have a GREAT DAY everyone!
Janet
