What kind of tree would now have (locust like leaves?) with clusters of many yellow fruit/seed pods with oval shape. I will try and get a picture tomorrow. Not in my garden.
what kind of tree
That's probably Japanese scholar tree, or Japanese pagoda tree. It goes by Styphnolobium japonicum, and was formerly Sophora japonica.
It has made a great street tree down around the Inner Harbor in your neck of the Bay.
You got it SP...thanks again. I was looking under locust trees. DUH
