From what I can tell everyone had a great time... I know "I" did. I even managed to get nearly everything cleaned up afterwards so I can come back to a clean house and yard tonight. I got enough plants to keep me busy digging for the next week to get them in the ground. Can't wait to see what they will look like when they grow up.
Pictures were taken by Frank, Josephine's (Frostweed) husband. Thanks so much Frank!
San Antonio Plant Swap (The People)
OK Folks. I wanna know, who's who? Someone needs to identify these plantaholics!
Janet
lol Janet . . . don't be try'n to get me in trouble :P
I.D.'s please? It's always nice to put a face to a name. Is that Nivlac in the back on the left? I think I've run into him on other threads. Where are you, Nada?
Nice photos with all those big smiles! Looks like everyone had a good time.
Looks like you had a ton of fun.
We had a great time at our first plant swap! Thanks Nada,...for being a gracious host....allowing us into your home!
I now realize why everyone attends the swaps - IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS! :~)
We've had a tremendous amount of rain since midnight last night....and it's still coming down....we're being cautioned about a possible tornado in our area....(as I'm writing) ....the weather is remaining a problem right now....I went out to check on my garden this morning....everything is relatively OK....I was shocked to see my wheelbarrow (deep one)
completely full of water....the news has reported areas in and around Houston have rec'd up to 10" if rain so far (I'm certain we have)
I'm glad it didn't happen during the Swap! 'Til later, Lee
An honorable mention should go to GD's "hot beans"...those tailtale bowls that everyone is snacking on in these photos, lol.... gotta go downtown....will post a few more later.. :)
Melanie
lol TxT . . . I was hope'n to make a few copies of that one for anyone that may want one, but that dang humidity and my printer were not getting along. I was lucky to get that one printed. I finally gave up after the printer gave me 2/3s of prints on my next 5-6 tries then got the dreaded *paper jam* error.
Great pics ya'll . . . except the ones of that goofy look'n GD character :P
Nada . . . you have some really nice plants all around you place . . . we sure enjoyed the tour :)
Oh and I forgot to mention . . . we noticed some wild/volunteer ?? Palms down in your creek . . . I wasn't sure if you knew about them or not since you said you hadn't been down there in a while. There were several of them and they all looked fairly young and healthy. Just wonder'n if you were aware that they are down there?
Yes one of you that went down there said something about them. what kind? They are definatly volunteer... but as you saw I have a LOT of volunteer plants around the place.
I'm not sure the exact type . . . they looked like a Fan Plam of some sort . . . They are still pretty young, only a few leaves/frauns one each one. I should have thought to snap a few pics of them. They are likely still small enough to transplant into pots pretty easy :)
