I leave for NY next Thursday and won't be back until Nov. 8th. Is there someone who checks out Bingo calls for those on vacation?

For those of you who know that I paid a very extravagant price for a plant of Garnet Elf for my mother's 100th birthday coming up on Friday, she is not getting the plant. It has now lost 17 leaves and is a small baby. The person I bought it from couldn't have done any more when shipping it. It was wrapped beautifully and then put in insulation and a styrofoam container. I think the problem was that the box was marked live plants! It was dropkicked all the way from Ca. to Wi.

I sold lots of leaves of Garnet Elf at our state show last weekend and put down a couple for myself. Elmiecat is going to get a free baby next year since she backed out of the bidding.

My Apache Freedom won 2nd best in show out of about 125 plants! I put down a couple of leaves so I can share. However, they are the old outside leaves and will take forever to have babies.

100 is very awesome! My neighbor who gave me my very 1st AF is 97! She is just the sweetest person. Hope everyone is doing well on bingo.

Nancy I just re-read about your Mom's Birthday plant losing all it's leaves ? I am so very sorry. I've never had that happen before ? I ship year round last Winter even in mid-December, Jan, Feb, to Co and Wi and colder. Was it that cold when it was shipped ?
When it's real cold I use insulation, and cups special wrapping and 60 hour heat pack. but it's not a good thing to use heat pack unless it's very long periods of cold outside. I have fount it easier to ship in cold weather than 90 plus degree's.
Your seller did an extremly good packing job. This should have not happen and the plant could have a virus, Pest, something that of course can not be seen without 3X power or more. Do you still have the plant ? If so I would bring it to your local plant extension and have it checked.
I look back on my first order of 100 leaves from Tina in Canada and she said always isolate even leaves. She had a nice write up about it in my box and it always stuck in my mind .

Oh and yes good idea not to write live plants, fragile, keep this and that only draws attention and or most times they pay no attention. I am so sorry that happen to your Mom's 100 year old B-Day gift :(( What did you pay like $60.00 ? Hope you grow a baby for her 101 Birthday gift :))

It's a beautiful morning ! 25 degree's cooler than same time yesterday ! 50 low today ! Feels super great home was 81 when we went to bed 68 now ! High 71 and Florida's Sunny Sun will be out soon and warming us up. Perfect weather this week, no humidity love it !
